Only for rounded-corner index cards
I like taking notes on index cards, so thought this would be perfect for the desk. It is nice enough, but because the index card slot is cut to very tight dimensions, and because it is cut with rounded corners, it will not take standard square-corner index cards. Instead you need to buy special rounded index cards.I get why they did it that way—it was probably made on a CNC, with a round bit, and they didn’t want to square out the corners. But if they had thought to make the dimensions just a slight bit bigger, a standard index card would fit.

I wanted to love this walnut note-taking stand. It looks sleek and elegant on my desk, and the walnut finish is undeniably beautiful. But functionally? It left me disappointed.The stand comes with a limited number of slips of paper, and once you run out, good luck finding the exact size replacements without resorting to DIY cutting sessions. For something that markets itself as a premium product, the decision to use disposable paper instead of a dry-erase surface feels like a huge oversight.
