Book 2 in the 5-book Christian fiction series that has sold over 1.5 million copies

A story of God’s divine leading and the realization that peace comes only after forgiveness, from Karen Kingsbury, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of “heart-tugging and emotional” (Romantic Times) life-changing fiction.

A Deadly Accident
The Christian Kids Theater group is devastated by a tragedy greater than any of them could’ve imagined. Now their director, Katy Hart, must find a way to walk the kids through their grief and give them a reason to believe again. But will hatred and revenge have the final word?

An Aching Emptiness
Dayne Matthews is working on what could be his best movie yet. Still, he feels empty and unfocused, aching for real love and the family he’ll never know. Then a friend tells him about a teaching center and a way to become like God. Is this the answer Dayne’s been searching for?

A Shocking Discovery
John Baxter reconnects with an old friend and shares a buried secret, one that he and his wife kept hidden all their married lives. Now―in his wife’s honor―he decides to continue a very special search. But in the process he makes a critical mistake and one of his daughters stumbles onto a letter she was never supposed to see. For the Baxters, grace and redemption will play a greater role in this season than ever before.

    This author is Awesome
I am used to spending my time reading books that take me back in time for an escape. I am an avid book reader but love “Happily Ever After” with struggles on the way.I have been blown away with the writings of Karen Kingsbury. I have laughed and cried and prayed and yelled at the characters in this series. God is such a part of these books and discovering that relationship with God and how he can turn our trials into triumphs is what makes these books awesome. It has been a long time since I have enjoyed a book that is modern day and it is just what I need.

    Forgiveness and Love
As with others in this series, it is great. This book helps you see love at its best and how forgiveness is the one thing we must do for God. He forgave us and we must also forgive. We also must love others and our family. You will cry and feel love so awesomely that your heart will swell. This is a book you can’t put down. Sometimes the hardest person to forgive is ourselves, this book points that out. We must love others and commit to loving and serving God. Well written and exciting.

    Tragedy Turned into Triumph
Well written. T he writer told the story in such a way that you put yourself in the place of the characters. Through prayer and God’s Word the children’s hearts were melted and they learned to care about the young man who had caused the tragedy. Forgiveness is something we all.must learn to do because God freely forgives.

Karen Kingsbury books are the BEST!!
I have read this whole series and I will admit that once I start one of her books, I can’t stop reading until I am done with the book. And then I’m sad because it’s the last book of the series. I would recommend an of Karen Kingsbury’s books.

    I loved it!
This book and this series was something that I so enjoyed. The story pulls you into the family and the trials that they go through, you can relate to them. Through this book and series, I was reminded of all the awesome things that God can do in our lives, and even when they don’t turn out the way we want them, God is still loving us and in control. I read all 14 of the Baxter books in 30 days and was so sad when I finally finished the last book. However, I have moved on to the “Above the Line” series and it is nice that we still get peeks of the Baxter family. I had borrowed several of these books from the library when I was reading them, but I think that I will actually end up buying them for my Kindle so I can read them again. It’s definitely a keeper and I would recommend it to anyone, especially those who are going through tough times and need to be reminded of the hope in Jesus Christ.

Loved how the group wax able to forgive Jermey for the accident that killed their two friends, the accident being a result of drunk driving. My mother in law had a drinking problem, I think I can now forgive her for all the unpleasant thing she caused my family to endure
