Best Fire Pit around
All that’s needed in a patio fire pit. Well made, plenty large enough, goes together quickly with stainless steel hardware. It’s sturdy, draws air, screens out fly ash, and the top is easily lifted and reset with the included combination poker-top hook. The deep well holds plenty of firewood completely within it, unlike those fancy flatter ones with the decorated borders around the pit. It’s really nice looking as well. And it’s safe to use. No logs are going to come rolling out of it as the fire burns and shifts. You can sure spend more money on one of these but you can’t build a better fire than with this one. DO get the custom fitting $23.98 Landmann USA 29300 Big Sky Fire Pit 30 inch diameter Cover to go with it. We put (4) 11.5″ concrete paver blocks down on our concrete patio as an elevated base and heat sink, upon which we set it. The instructions do not call for filling the bottom plate with sand and we let the ash accumulate to an inch or two to build our fires upon. There are no holes in the bottom for draining rainwater and if you get the cover you’ll never have a rusty mess to deal with. This same model is sold under different names for higher prices but Amazon Basics is the best buy.

Versatility, useful, great for home and tailgating.
I have ordered this item before many years ago. I use it regularly. Great for patio. I have used it to burn yard brush, fire pit for social gatherings, making somores, tailgating. Very light, but sturdy. Cools quickly, easily transported. Love it.

Bird bath
This is the second one we have bought so that says a lot. Only four stars due to the fact that if left out in the Florida summer there are no drain holes for rain and it turns into a bird bath, the rusts. Second time I drilled 5 holes in the bottom and it has worked magic. Good purchase.

A good real size fire pit for out on the back patio
I learned an interesting lesson when shopping for a basic firepit – advertisers will state the diameter based on the largest part they can measure. I saw some others advertised as 29″ diameter, but when I put a tape measure on them in the store, the actual bowl was only about 24″ – the same as this one. Those had an extra outer ring that almost looked like a foot rest. So, this bowl is about 24″ in actual usable diameter and it has proven to be a perfect size for a simple backyard fire pit. Even with a bag of sand in the bottom, I can carry it pretty easily and have tried a couple of different locations on my back patio. The cutouts are such that airflow is good and the flames are easily visible. This isn’t something that I’ll be passing on to my grand kids with the “estate”, but for something that allows me to enjoy a basic fire out back on a cool evening, it does the job well.

Contains sparks from blowing out
Itâs the perfect size and weight. The screened lid keeps sparks and ash from blowing out and possibly causing other fires

Only went up $10 since the last on and at $79 still a steal in my book. Highly recommend the item!
Excellent firepit. This is the second one I have bought. The first burned out after a year and a half years of hard use. Do not put the screen on when you have a hot fire burning. You will burn the screen panels out of it in a surprisingly short time. Save it for when you are walking away from a dying fire at the end of the night. Also drill a 1/2 inch hole in the center for drainage of rainwater. It will rust seemingly overnight unless water is allowed to drain out. I wirebrushed mine several times and then painted it. Burns off even VHT high temperature paint, it will not stay on it for long. Do it at the end of your burning season before you store it for next year.

Budget for a Reason
Cheap junk. The bottom arrived caved in to the point where the legs wouldnât even fit into the screw holes.EDIT: was able to buff out the bumps and assemble it. Has a bit of a wobble to it but itâs functional at least. The assembly instructions are incredibly poor so it takes a bit of figuring out but overall Iâm satisfied with the end result. If youâre like me whose just looking for a useable fire pit and doesnât want to spend $200+ dollars on a rarely used metal pot, then this will get the job done but just remember that this is a budget product and not a quality product.

Easy to assemble, a great size (width and depth) and does what you need it to do. I spent several weeks looking at and researching various fire pits. I really wanted a chiminea because I liked the look of them but at the end I purchased this one for itâs size and functionality (ability and ease of smore making) plus it was a great deal. Before purchasing this one I read previous reviews and took the advice from what I read: drilled holes around the bottom of the pit (water drainage, purchased then sprayed high heat spray paint on the fire pit drum (inside & out) and bought & use a fire grate to put the logs on. Iâve had the fire pit for three months & burned at least 15 fires. No rust inside nor outside the drum. There is rust on the screen cover but not to the point where it has fallen apart/disintegrated, the rust is only on the very top where you use the poker to remove the screen cover. Also when the fireâs burning I usually donât put the cover on – only when no one is around manning the fire. Also the mesh in the drum hasnât burned off nor rusted. I am so happy that I got this particular one…as are my kids (smores) and husband (fire maker).
