Flipping Good Book!!
âI worked in the ophthalmology field for 34 years. I enjoyed it at times, but it was never a passion for me, and I can’t say I ever loved it. I kept praying that God would lead me to the right thing. I kept up with Tresa Todd because she had worked for some of the same doctors that I worked for, and when she left ophthalmology and got involved with her sons and became a real estate investor, I kept thinking maybe that’s what I’m supposed to do! I finally got an opportunity to join, and quickly knew it was for me. I didn’t follow all of the advice about waiting for a substantial amount of cash flow. I tried to continue working full-time in my current position and do real estate on the side, and it was just impossible for me. So I quit my job on my 56th birthday! Within days, we had the “Snow-mageddon” event – snow of mass destruction! LOL… I found my first flip house a few months after that and it was a year-long test of my faith which finally paid off. God truly was the only reason I got through this. It was HARD. At some point during this time, I remembered a childhood dream of mine to be an “interior decorator”, but for some reason had decided that I didn’t have any natural talent for it. About the same time I sold this house, I found my next property, and I attended the WREIN conference in Dallas where I was able to meet Gigi in person! I have watched as many of her videos as time allowed, and love her quiet confidence. My next flip went so much faster and easier, and I discovered that the design element and choosing all of the details are my favorite part. I look forward to getting to know Gigi more on a personal level, and to continue learning from her. In this book, one of the first statements to really catch my eye was that I am a Whole Woman and more than my bank account! Also, the general contractor’s lists of things to repair and design elements are so helpful! This is a book that every woman should read. She tells her own story; provides several reasons of why any woman should invest, have her own business and how it can change your life; gives advice on how to start your business, provides several case studies of different women; gets into details about flipping houses (from designing, management, etc.). This was a great read!!
This is a great tool to follow when learning the process of buying and flipping real estate. I loved that each flipping opportunity gives the seller an opportunity to make a profit as long they use the golden formula. The cases studies give an extra piece of motivation after each chapter. Flipping Simplified
I wish I’d had a book like this before I rehabbed my first property! Gigi breaks flipping down step-by-step to simplify the process. She covers how to get your business started, how to find a good deal, working with general contractors, etc. She includes case studies of how flipping changed her life and others lives as well. She has a faith-based approach that is extremely inspiring. A must-read for everyone looking to invest in real estate!
