Inspirational book with beautiful artwork
Not only are the poems in this book inspiring, but the artwork captures your attention from the start. I did find the theme of some of the poems to be a bit too simple. As in advice youâve heard your whole life. But Morgan Harper Nichols has a way of taking that everyday advice, and turning it into something beautiful. There are a few religious undertones. Lots of talk of grace, and a few references to the christian bible. Although, I am not a christian myself, i still found those poems to be heartwarming. This is one of the first collections of poems I have read that didnât have a sad/ angry undertone and I was not disappointed one bit. I look forward to reading more from this author.

If youâre a mom, this is your book. Itâs so beautiful, complete soul food! That that seems even a shallow statement for how much this book means to me. Maybe a life raft in the storm? A shoulder to cry on in your darkest day? Being seen and held and lifted up right where you are in life. Iâve resolved to give this book at every baby shower. Itâs that womanâs journey and all those changes, struggles, triumphs! But itâs good for all women as I think, motherhood was just my journey when it helped me but it covers so much of the womanâs experience. Literally cannot recommend enough!!
