Read only good reviews to help navigate this oven, be patient, don’t give up, well worth it!
I worked in a pizza place (Aldolino’s in Azusa, CA) in the 1990’s. My boss was the guy that tossed the pizzas on the “I Love Lucy” show years earlier. They made the best pizza I have ever had! The dough was made with fresh yeast only and proofed for 24 hours, using 00 flour, I believe this is the key to a great crust, along with high heat. In California, our great state does not allow the selling of fresh yeast any more, so you will have to buy it on the internet, which can be pricey. I found it online and spent $34 for 2 lbs, divided it into 2 gram baggies and got 40 baggies, which I froze. Each baggy will make 2) 12” pizzas, or 4) individual pizzas. Doing the math… 80 pizzas cost .43 cents each or 160 individual pizzas @ .22 cents each. Even after the flour cost, propane and the toppings, it is way less than buying from a pizza joint and better!I have used this oven 3 times and tonight will be the forth, and yes…I have had under cooked dough and burnt dough, but I am willing to take the time to perfect it because I can tell it will be worth it. Tonight I will be heating the top side flame for ten minutes prior to heating the bottom oven, to prevent cracking the stone, this method has worked so far, then I will turn on the bottom oven and continue heating for another twenty minutes. After the full half hour is completed, l’ll turn off the bottom flame for 3 minutes, prior to putting the pizza in, I think this will be the key to not burning the bottom of the crust. Before I put in the second pizza in, I’ll turn the bottom flame on for a few minutes and turn it back off, prior to putting the next pizza in. Will update, after tonight’s experiment ;)The first picture here is of the pizza with the burnt bottom, it still tasted good, just ate around the burnt parts. I should mention that the temperature was close to 900 degrees, so the people that say they could only get it to 300 degrees, most likely tried the oven after the complaint window took place and are trying to get a response from the seller, by writing a bad review, because they don’t want to take the time to learn how to use it. Making pizza is an art, so to speak and this is not an easy bake oven! If you truly can’t get the degrees above 300 degrees, you should reach out to the seller in the correct time frame, it may be faulty, which does happen with appliances! You can’t return it, but it doesn’t mean you won’t be able to get a refund.Bad reviews should not be written just because you are ignorant, or because you used to have a high end wood burning pizza oven at your old house and this one doesn’t look as cool to your friends, being that one costs thousands of dollars and other only $200., in my case “Black Friday deal at $167.00”.

A Fantastic Outdoor Gas Pizza Oven!
Certainly one of the best looking Outdoor Pizza Ovens, the Bighorn Gas Pizza Oven makes fantastic Pizza!I warm up the Pizza Stone to 500 Degrees, with the bottom burner, (Then turn that burner off) while the Oven comes up to cooking temperature, with the side burner. Then, slide your Pizza in…You’ll need to turn your Pizza, as it cooks, to get a nice, evenly browned Crust, all the way around…In just a few minutes, you’ll have a sizzling hot Pizza, covered with gooey, melted Cheese and nicely cooked Toppings. You’ll never order out for Pizza, again, with this awesome, Outdoor Pizza Oven! Here’s a Pro Tip; use Stone Fired, Mini Naan Bread, for the Crust, along with Real Chunks of Mozzarella Cheese, (not that pre shredded stuff) to make individual Mini Pizzas…So Good! Family Pizza Night is so easy, that way…

    Pizza oven
Looks great but hard to adjust a temp. Turned all the way down will still reach 600. So it will burn quickly if you don’t watch it

I purchased two. These grills are diamonds.
I purchased two. These grills are diamonds.BIG HORN OUTDOORS Gas Pizza OvenThis has a fixed flame under the pizza stone; There is a second adjustable burner level with the top of the stone. You do not need to wait 20 minutes for the stone to heat up between each pizza like the other competitor junk like ooomsuck. The inside can exceed 900 degrees F and the outside of the stainless steel is around 200 degree F . Do not listen to the nut job gremlin reviews because you want to heat up your stone first from the adjustable flame on the top and then turn on the fixed burner under the stone. It is common sense to turn on and off the fixed burner under the stone so it is not too hot. I left it on the entire time using pizza screens and the end product was fantastic. If you use pizza screens, oil them or your pizza will stick. If your dough is too hydrated it will stick to the pizza stone. This oven will place your corner pizza shop out of business. I have not seen offers from this company about replacement gas burners but I am confident it can be reworked when they burn out. The person on YouTube shows no wear after one year. You can purchase a pellet screen and place inside if you want a smoke wood flavor. You only need 500 degrees F direct heat using the top burner, If your dough is properly made.

    Beautiful oven
We have had this pizza oven for a while now and we still aren’t sure how to use it. It looks beautiful. We have had to replace the pizza stone because the first one broke right down the middle. There are no instructions with it and we have not been able to find anything online either. There are several Facebook groups for pizza oven peeps, but they seem to be old and unattended (other than with spam and stuff). We gave up on looking for help and have used the oven every now and then and lately the pizzas don’t even come out all black, so maybe we’re figuring it out.

    big disappointment
First off I built and owned a wood fired dome in my last house so don’t know if that has spoiled me.Took a while but finally got around to firing the oven up. The oven was easy to assemble and fired up quickly. I have had it pre-heating for one and one half hours (90 minutes) and it still never got over 300 on the thermometer. Love everything about this except for the heat and actually hate the oven.I read so many reviews about how hot it got and this and how they heated then turned off the floor burner. I have had the floor burner and the wall burner on for the entire 90 minutes and it is at 300 degrees. We were making homemade pizza for memorial day, but after 2 failed pizzas (not hot enough at 300) we switched to hot dogs baked in the oven. Works good on pre-cooked hot dogs. Did a dog in 25 minutes dog was still cold in center but was hungry by now.Bottom line this is a product that looks great, but I don’t know how to get it to heat up.
