Better than I expected
I’m a part of a Youtube channel that goes around and reviews donut shops, and as we’ve been getting going, we’ve realized just how important good audio is. We were previously using a set of mics and GoPro’s to film, but we eventually decided to tradition to iPhones for filming. The existing mics we had didn’t really work with the iPhones like we had hoped, so we were on the lookout for a new set, and happened across these.While I’ve never heard of Boyalink, we figured it was worth a try. They come in a small box, which isn’t surprising considering how small they are. They are housed in a rechargeable battery case, which is pretty slick, and includes the wind socks, and some additional adapters. We’ve been using them on iPhone 16’s so having the USB-C plug has been great. The best part is, we’ve been able to use them perfectly on our Hohen M6 gimbal that we use for filming.As far as sound quality, they’ve been great for the interviews we’ve been conducting with donut shop owners. Sometimes being in the back where donuts are being made can be noisy, or even being in the lobby areas where many people can be talking. We use Final Cut Pro for editing, and have been able to work well with these mics. Far better than I had thought, and we’ve been able to easily remove many of the outside noise with FCP. These do tout noise cancellation, and just listening to the straight audio that has been recorded, I can confirm some of the background noise has been eliminated. The best part for us is, these mics are just so close to the speaker that we’re able to use the audio tools we have to largely cut out all other audio caught by the mics.We usually film a monologue prior to entering the shop, and sometimes it gets windy. The wind socks do surprisingly well, and have nearly eliminated that wind noise that we occasionally run into. The balance that is usually left we are often able to eliminate with FCP audio plug-ins.All in all, for under $80, I was extremely surprised as well how these performed. Our other mics were 3x the price, and these easily match the quality we were getting with those.

Wow! Questo microfono mi ha davvero sorpreso. La qualità audio è eccellente, tanto che può tranquillamente competere con modelli ben più blasonati come i Rode. Il suono è pulito, chiaro e ben bilanciato, senza disturbi o interferenze, e la cancellazione del rumore aiuta a ottenere registrazioni professionali anche in ambienti meno controllati.Il packaging è molto curato e all’interno c’è tutto il necessario per iniziare subito: cavi per iPhone e Android, adattatori e accessori vari. La versione che ho preso è quella più essenziale, senza troppi extra, ma mantiene comunque un livello qualitativo davvero alto.Il formato compatto lo rende facile da portare ovunque, perfetto per vlog, interviste o qualsiasi altro utilizzo in mobilità . Per il prezzo a cui viene venduto, è difficile trovare di meglio. Assolutamente consigliato!
