Simple and effective. You certainly get more corn this way and it doesn’t get stuck in your teeth either. That’s not a dental judgement on anyone. yuk, yuk. For the price, it’s a great kitchen tool. You can take the Kernels off in long flat strips, add parmesan cheese and then roast or torch the surface. Nice change up from just boiling it in water.

This item was excellent for canning corn this year. Works better after the corn has been blanched, used a nail brush to get it fully cleaned. The blade moves and must be kept free.

Easy to take kernels off cob
My husband had some dental issues so I was cutting corn kernels off the cob by hand with a knife. What a mess!! I saw this very inexpensive utensil and bought it. First used it at a family gathering thinking most would want to eat corn on the cob but after seeing the kernels being cut off so easily they all wanted the corn cut off! A lot less messy!! Granddaughter decided she would use the new gadget and strip all of the cobs! She LOVED it ⦠so easy once you got the hang of it. Just pull up on the cob and kernels come off neatly. Stainless steel with a sturdy handle. Very sharp blades and it cuts kernels with no cob attached so quickly. I recommend it. Will be great for efficiently freezing a lot of seasonal corn.
