AN INSTANT WALL STREET JOURNAL BESTSELLER

A guide for how to not only dream big, but also win―both in business and in life―from one of the most celebrated and successful women in America.

For the first time ever, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and Forbes’ Richest Self-Made Woman Liz Elting shares her story on how she co-founded and grew TransPerfect, the billion-dollar translation and language solutions company that began as a dream in an NYU dorm room. In Dream Big and Win, Elting divulges practical and inspiring tips you can implement immediately, teaching why success is not solely about attaining and wielding power. Elting shows you that fulfilling your highest potential will require you to look beyond yourself. In her honest and often humorous narrative, Elting illustrates why actions are more important than mantras and why doing will always eclipse dreaming. This book is for anyone who has ever dreamed of translating their passion into purpose and creating something bigger than themselves.

Great story about winning in business!
Great book, I enjoyed reading about the birth and growth of an entrepreneurial company. The author is very talented and the book reads easy. I sorta hated the ending but she still comes out on top in the end. Life goes on.

    A Blueprint for Dreamers
I almost did not buy this book because I thought Dream Big and Win was another of those business books. I mean what could possibly be in there that I have not already read before? But I am glad that I did. The book helped me introspect deeper into what drives me and how it can be effectively integrated into my business model. It gave me a call to action to make tough choices that could lead to substantial progress. Most importantly, it served me as a reminder to consistently take steps towards my goals. The book is a masterclass in transforming dreams into massive tangible success. Liz’s narrative brims with wit and wisdom and unfolds like a roadmap for aspiring entrepreneurs and dreamers. Her story from living in an NYU dorm room to creating the biggest private employer in NYC and making the Forbes list of 50 richest self-made women is inspiring and deeply educational. The book blends personal anecdotes with actionable insights and offers a rare glimpse into the mind of a person who has mastered entrepreneurship with grace and tenacity. Every entrepreneur knows that building a business is hard, hard, hard. The first years are about survival. And the message in the book is clear: dreaming big is just the start; winning requires action, resilience, and a willingness to learn from every fall.Liz emphasizes looking beyond oneself. Success, as she sees it, isn’t a solitary pursuit but a journey that impacts others and requires a broader vision. I love this perspective because in my own journey I have learned that no one strides alone and makes it to the top. A lesson I wished I had learned earlier in life. It’s a refreshing take in a world often obsessed with individual achievements and media darling entrepreneurs.Liz is what Mike Michalowicz calls a Toilet Paper Entrepreneur. You know, those hard-working business owners who are down to the last few squares of toilet paper – resourceful, innovative, making the most out of little. In business, especially when starting out, resources are often scarce. The usual big-budget strategies? Not an option. But these limitations can be turned into a strength. It forces innovation and agility. Liz shares a similar philosophy with deeply personal stories and angles. Her genuine personality is reflected in her down-to-earth writing style, combined with honesty and humor. It makes the book not only an informative read but also an enjoyable one. Liz educates, inspires, and entertains in equal measure.Dream Big and Win is a beacon for anyone who has ever dared to dream big. It’s a book that doesn’t just tell you to chase your dreams but shows you how to catch them. As someone who has always believed in the power of dreams, this book is a treasure. The only thing I hate about the book is that I wish Liz had written it earlier in my entrepreneurial journey.

Most influential book you can ever read
World class unicornLet me start by saying I have never written a book review in my life. It was simply because I never cared enough to. I am very well read and have read a lot of books on business, leadership, and entrepreneurship amongst many other topics. There was NOTHING that came even close to making such an impact and strong impression on me. I want to share the impact it had on me to whoever else will read it. I am most likely to trust what my friends say than some instagram ad or from a review from a stranger. I truly want to let the world know of Liz’s brilliance and strategies for success. I believe in trying to make the world a better place and reading her book and following her advice would make it so. I am grateful I was lucky enough to find out about it and believe in sharing such rare and precious things.Liz shares her remarkable journey, the struggles she faced (and how she dealt with them) and the lessons and experience she learned along her way to success. I was utterly blown away by her keen sense of awareness for what it takes to succeed. She debunks some myths most people have as a “recipe for success” and elaborates on exactly what tools we need and how to use them to become a success and overcome challenges. It could sometimes sound simple and overlooked because most people ignore a lot of blind spots that she talks about in depth that are absolutely crucial to success. She offer invaluable advice on what it truly takes to achieve excellence and make a real difference. The whole book is such an easy, fun, and pleasurable read. Liz doesn’t offer vague advice that has room for misinterpretation. She gives (often humorous and simple in a good way) real life examples and makes you rethink everything you thought you knew it took to become successful. The examples are so poignant and leave such an impression on you they are impossible to forget and stick in your head. It made me rethink my entire business culture and want to restructure my company. I started asking myself questions I never even thought about. They seemed so simple but not many people realized how important they were and often overlooked them because they seemed obvious or trivial.

    A GIFT of a book.
Wow. I worked for Liz at TPT in the early 2000s, sitting right outside her office for a number of years. (And no, she did not ask me to write this review!) First, I’m so glad she wrote this book and let the world in; it gives some more color to the woman whom I already had so much respect for. I now have more compassion too – learning some of the details of what she went though in her early years; in addition to witnessing some of the chaos she was starting to face while I was working there. Not just one of ‘Americas Richest Self Made Women’ but also very much ‘one of us,’ someone who had to literally fight to the very end. And despite the challenges she was facing at the time, she always treated me with uncommon dignity and respect, as both her employee and as a human being. I was elated to find out years later that she started a foundation to help others. I hope this book is a bestseller! Wishing her all the best XO

If you want to be an entrepreneur or think like one, Dream Big and Win is a must read. The way Liz combines business lessons and insights with the real life stories from building her billion dollar business keeps the book highly engaging. Her authenticity is a real stand out. May be the only business book I’ve read that both had me learn something that I immediately applied to my business one minute, then laughing out loud at a story the next!
