The best Bible I’ve owned to date
I have grown up on King James version moving to the NIV but after learning about the spectrum of Bible translations for the best accuracy the ESV seems to be one of the closest to word for word translation. The NASB seems to be the 1st or close to to word for word then ESV and NIV is a thought for thought translation. The NASB seems seems to be more difficult to find at least in the features I seek. ESV seems to have more options. I have the ESV in different covers and this is one of my favorite with the cross on the front. (I also have the navy which is a plain cover and the Olive Celtic which is really a nicely designed cover)This is a large print Bible. The font is 9 pt for the Bible test and 7 pt for the notes. It has lots of notes to the text and other articles/essays in the back that includes a lot of useful information in one place. It certainly provides information that creates the desire to expand and confirm the information provided. The is NOT a Bible that red letters the words of Christ if that is of importance to someone.The cover is durable and of good quality. As mentioned I have this in the Navy, this Celtic Walnut and Olive with a Celtic cross which is more favored but this Walnut Celtic is a traditional color and a very nice edition to the collection. The ESV has become my go to translation keeping them in various places whenever the urge to study the word occurs. This is my study Bible of choice but still seek to get additional insight from other translation study Bibles. The NASB and NIV I have are both Zondervan and interestingly the notes are very similar. This ESV has some greater detail and differently worded notes. If you’re seeking a good study Bible this one I highly recommend.

Amazing Bible, Nifty Box
What a beautiful Bible. I misheard how heavy it was, but this is definitely a Bible I want to last a long time.Side note: the box it came in has been a life saver for two things in the last two days. Who knew the word of God came with something handy to secure stuff in. Lol

I already had a Bible, but I bought this one because it is a Study Bible, what I received is the almost perfect Bible, a lot of explanations, illustrations, tables, cross references, timetables, introductions to the books, etc. I am a catholic and this is a protestant Bible, in its introductions (Abbreviations) it mentions the books not included as the Books of the Apocrypha. I think they should include them also, even at the end.I love the maps and renderings of the places and that is sewn.It is an excellent excellent Bible, I thing everybody should have a Bible like this at home, and I wish I could find a Catholic Bible like this.Another thing I miss is the words of the Lord in red as in other Bibles, perhaps two marker ribbons to use in AT and NT, and the some texts (cross references) are really small.I confess that I do not like that it is printed in China, I find that contradictoryBut all that said, it is still an excellent Bible

This is the best study Bible I’ve found for the price. The quality is outstanding â the book itself looks beautiful, and the text is clear and easy to read. Most importantly, the study notes and illustrations are incredibly helpful and well-written. They’ve been a lifesaver when I’ve struggled to understand certain verses or wanted to gain a different perspective. If you’re looking for a good study Bible, I highly recommend this one â you won’t regret it!

The book has articles that orient the reader to the Christian faith, branches of the church and basic theology, comparative faiths, the historical background, and other useful tools like maps, a concordance, topical index. Each individual book has a very excellent and thorough introduction to those hermeneutical things concerning author, audience, message summary, historical context, cultural features, etc. The verse by verse commentary presents useful comments from scholarship on word meanings, interpretations and fit within the broader themes elsewhere within the progressive revelation found complete in the oracles of God, the Bible.
