Be Chill and Cool. Get This Product
I live in Southern Indiana, Land of Heat and Humidity, and keeping cool is a real challenge. I had bought other cooling towels, but they dripped and lost their chill quickly, so I decided to give the Frogg Toggs a try.It is amazing. It isn’t cloth, it is a rubbery spongy feel. Wet it, wring it out and drape it around your neck, and feel the chill. My house doesn’t have AC, but with this product I stay comfortable with just a fan.I love it for work too. My job is very physical and it is very easy to get overheated. I wet one of these at the beginning of my shift and rewet it at break, and I am able to make it thru with no sweat. If you do anything where getting overheated is an issue, I highly recommend this product

Excellent product.
I LOVE these things. They are amazing! After playing pickelball in the hot sun, one of these things wrapped around one’s neck feels SO good. I use them regularly. And they last a LONG time.

This is an amazing product
I first ordered something else before a friend recommended this one. Wow wow wow!! Night an day! I absolutely love this. I walk/hike 4-5 miles a day on the sun in Southern California hot and with this, it’s no problem. There are a few tricks to happy use though:1) Before first use: be sure to use mild detergent (I used my soap) and cool water to completely thoroughly wash this. It will let a lot of color out.2) When you went it for use on longer endurance trips, be sure to not squeeze it out. I made the mistake the first time and squeezed it out as much as possible. That way it definitely won’t get you wet, but it will start drying out (on the sun) within 30 minutes and in 1 hour it will be bone dry3) When I say “bone dry” I mean it. The material gets extremely “hard dry” where I feel like it will break (it doesn’t) if I bend it. Very interesting material4) The instructions recommend you keep the towel in the little container it came in. I think that’s impossible to do with reasonable human skills, so I use a sandwich ziploc bag, which is perfect.5) Instead of keeping it moist between use, I keep it dry. This prevents anything nasty from growing on it if it can–not sure because of the unusual material6) When properly wet, the material has an almost gummy feel to it.I am on a hunt now for the same thing as a head band–if such exists–and wrist bands. This is probably the best thing that could have happened to endurance sports in hot climate!Edit: I have had this now for nearly a year. I kept it in a zipped up plastic bag in my fanny pack and completely forgot about it until today, when the first really hot day hit. I took it out of the bag, it was still wet from my last use nearly a year ago, but I added a bit more water from my bottle and off I went hiking in the heat.If there was a chance to give more than 5 stars, I would! The product is indestructible, comfortable, and stays freezing cold for at least 1.5 hours on the blazing Southern California sun. Fantastic!

Chill out!
I bought 3 different Frogg Toggs. Chilly Pad Pro Sport 31×6, Chilly Pad 33×13 (2 Pack), and Chilly Sport Cooling Neck Wrap/Headband 33×6.5. Hands down, every one needs to own a Chilly Pad 33×13. When you take it out of the package, it stinks and you think you’ve made a huge mistake! You need to wash it in a mild detergent in the sink. It takes 2 minutes. Wring it out and you’ll be shocked at how cool it is. The package says it is 30 degrees cooler than your body temp and the cooling lasts for about 2 hours. When it starts no longer working – wet it, wring it, and put it on your neck again. You’re good to go for another 2 hours. The other towels in the Frogg Toggs family work, but not as well as the Chilly Pad.

definitely recommended
I purchased for some hot summertime baseball games. I think I would have had heat stroke without it. We spent a few hours on hot cement and even under shade canopies it was still about 100 degrees. This helped to cool us off.

What happened to the towel?!?!
I opened the product and took it out of its package and then hand washed with a very mild soap according to the instructionsâ¦and it immediately changed color to a yellowish/brown, but only on both ends?? Why did this happen?Refund or replacement = yes please

Some Sort of Black Magic and Sorcery…
How the hell does this thing work??? It’s… weird. This scarf-y thing is confusing. When you get it, you open it up and go “awww, ewww, why’s it crunchy!?!?!” Then you read the instructions, (follow them) and wash it with mild soap. Then when you pull it out of the water (it’s soft and nice now), you immediately exclaim and walk around the house making everyone else touch it to experience how cold it feels. Then you go do something else, because the entertainment value of a scarf only lasts so long, and forget you had it. Come back two hours later and the thing is STILL SOMEHOW FREEZING COLD. So you go around your house and make everyone feel it again, and they’re all annoyed at first, then amazed once they touch it.I first tried it in my air conditioned house, because, you know, I’m lazy. This thing is UNCOMFORTABLY cold to wear in comfortable temps. Take it outside in the heat and it becomes a life saver. My only advice is to be careful how you dry it. If you hang it over a bar, for example, it’s gonna dry back to being weirdly crunchy and stiff, and you can’t fold it while dry. You need to fold it while slightly damp and let it dry on it’s own, which takes forever because the thing stays cold for half an eternity.

Kept me cool
I bought this to keep me cool at an 8 hour outdoor event when the forecast was sunny and 108 degrees. As long as I kept dipping it in ice water once an hour, it kept me cool and comfortable all day

I didn’t know what to expect, but it wasn’t that. However, you know what? It kind of works. I lent it to my friend, who had a really bad sunburn, and she said it was a lifesaver.
