    Love this compact tent
I’d recommend this tent. Like any product it has its up and down sides. It looks really cool set up on the beach, but you do need quite a bit of room. I thought you might have to get the poles just right or it would all collapse but that’s not the case. It stays up for hours with no problem. The biggest issue to me is that it can’t be against the wind much at all. So for example at the beach, if I’m on the bay side the wind pushes on the back of the shade and you have lots less room. Anyhow it seems like good quality stuff. One of the feet on the poles broke for some reason but I’m assuming that’s not normal. Customer service at Neso was fantastic and sent another one out.Get this tent for your beach days! It’s so easy to pack in and out

easy to transport and lightweight for great shade.
Love this product! As a parent carrying the extra bulky typical beach tent or bulky 10 x 10 canopy is very difficult when you have to lug it on the beach along with everything else for a family beach day is very hard! The main reason I pulled the trigger on this was the compact packaging and lightweight design for the same amount of shade. I like the design of the over the should carrying case and easy to throw in the beach day essentials. Set up takes 3-5 mins, if set up correctly you will have shade for you and your family all day. Experienced my first windy day set up and had to set up the poles more towards the center of neso not on the corners like we usually do. I also purchased the extra set of poles to get more room to setup underneath the shade. I also just picked up some heavy duty spiral stakes from my local hardware store to use when I am a park or any location where I cannot fillup the bags with sand.

Made a steamy beach day into a breeze
I bought the grande for shade on the beach. The Neso is so easy to carry and put up that I wonder why I never bought one sooner. This made a 91 degree Florida day, into paradise. It was so much cooler under the canopy and we ended staying longer than expected. I highly recommend this item for ease of use, carrying size and great protection from the sun.I usually am out on the beach by myself or with just one other person and the Grande is perfect size to comfortably have shade for two people and all their belongings.I do recommend purchasing a little hand shovel to make it easier to put sand in the sandbags. Also, bury the sandbags. I had no issues with sandbags slipping in 16mph winds.

I ending up loving our Neso…after some experimenting
When I first got this tent, I thought it was a great *concept*, but filling the sandbags was way too much hassle for this to be practical for shorter beach visits, or for smaller parties. So much work, filling those bags with sand, half burying them, and getting the poles situated just right! I honestly came close to selling my Neso, as I usually favor my wind-powered flag shades anyway. But then I switched out the sandbags for the “sideline conversion kit” straps that Neso sells separately. I tried attaching those carabiners to my “large” sand anchor screws, which happen to be Orange. The large ones are longer and sturdier than the black screws that came with the straps. This anchoring method for the Neso tent does work for me, with precautions, and switching out the sand bags made me actually like this tent. But before talking about the anchors, some pros and cons first.Things I love about this tent:-lightweight-doesn’t take up a lot of space when tucked into its carry bag-reasonably priced, compared to some other “luxury” beach shades-adaptable. If the wind is cooperating, it’s nice to be able to angle this shade a bit, in the morning or evening. And I like that I can pop in the two extra supports when my tall friend is with me, and we need more headroom.-the Grande is my largest tent, and I like it for when I need coverage for a couple more people. I wouldn’t try using the sand anchors with the Gigante though, so I’m happy with the Grande’s size.-it works even on windless daysThings I don’t love:-filling those sandbags. Ugh. What a tedious, sweaty task, even with a big spade. If you’ve got a party of 4, and can assign one bag to each person, it’s not so bad, haha.-I wish the shade were darker, or that I had gotten a darker color. It’s adequate coverage, but I have others that provide better shade.-Even though it’s lighter and more compact than a traditional shade canopy, it isn’t nearly as light or as easy to store as my “flag shade”.Now about the anchors. It’s important to note that I’m anchoring in sand that is already really compacted…I personally wouldn’t attempt this at a beach where the sand is especially “fluffy.” I screw the anchor as deep as I can, pour a little ocean water over it (to make the sand even heavier around it, kinda cementing it in, if you will), and then clip the carabiner to the ring at the top of the orange screw. After I have the tent stretched out and all four corners clipped (and I’ve re-checked the stability of the anchors), I *very carefully*, and without putting too much stress (NOT yanking!), raise the poles up under the tent. I always check for cracking in the sand around the first screw before moving onto the next. And I really tamp it down with my foot.I’m sure Neso would not technically recommend using the large screw anchors with their sideline kit at the beach. If you try it and aren’t careful, there is the potential danger of the screw getting pulled up from the ground and snapping back towards you. I have had an anchor come up only once, when a friend helped me set up, and yanked too hard when inserting the pole under the shade…so like I said, be careful, try at your own risk, and don’t sue me. But I wanted to share my experience, in case other people had been curious about trying this method. It can work. For me, it’s way easier, and had me adding this shade back into regular rotation.

    Love this thing! Wort it.
I mean the tent is gorgeous first off. I love the print. The fabric is so soft and smooth. This thing is incredibly easy to put up. The first picture is of it up and in 12 mph wind at pcb. We have used this for 4 days in a row and it has changed the game for me. I’m very fair skinned and always burn. With this lovely tent, I can stay out all day. This fit 4 adults (each with their own chair) and a cooler and bags. Not to mention, it is sooo light weight. So easy to carry. American made. So easy to fold up and put away. I can’t speak to durability yet, since it’s new.. but it seems like a real quality item

So far so good on a windy beach day!
I was going to wait a bit to review however on Day 2 in 18 mph winds (per weather app) the Neso Grande has held up surprisingly well. I had to adjust the tent 1 time as I wasn’t quite facing the wind. After the adjustment and making sure the sand bags were buried well, the tent worked well all day. I can’t speak for durability and longevity as I’ve used it for 2 days. We plan to get plenty of use out of this tent this year!

    Kinda alright
There are times that I love this thing — and then the breeze quits or changes direction and I get hit by the pole as it all collapses on top of me and I can think of very few things I despise more that it. I work in education — I might curse the day after Halloween more than I curse this tent as I’m pulling it off me to set it up again. I guess if I used it on a beach with a consistent, unidirectional breeze, I’d give it more stars.

    Works in windy conditions.
Was very skeptical at first. But the instructions are very helpful. And the product is worth every penny. Fits back into bag very easily.

Brilliant! This has been an absolutely fantastic addition to our beach gear. It’s about a 1/2 mile walk and this is no bother to carry and set up. The photo is of the first time we set it up, and it was fine, but we got even better at it. You can easily fit 4 people in this set up and we also bought 2 extra poles. Today was windy and we stretched it further and buried the bags. Wonderful, stayed up great! Even my husband, who was sceptical at first, loves it. Thinking about getting a gigante sized Neso too!

Our family booked an all-inclusive in Mexico and heard that deck chairs were usually spoken for by 6am. We bought this product so we could have shelter from the sun and it turned out to be a life saver. It’s good quality, easy to put up, and provided enough shelter for 5 people to sit/lie comfortably under it. (we also bought the OCOOPA Sandproof Beach Blanket for 30 bucks on Amazon as a ground sheet which worked great).Lots of compliments on this thing. A Mexican guy even wanted to buy it for full price. It did fall down a couple of times during the week when the wind shifted and stiffened but we eventually got the hang of it. You really need to bury the sand bags to keep it strong and face the thing into the wind as much as possible, both of which are easy to do.It fit easily in my suitcase and gave us a great shelter on the beach. The fabric of both the NESO shelter and the OCOOPA groundsheet is light but strong. The included tent pegs for the groundsheet are a bit short, but they worked. Great product. Recommended for a great beach shelter. Could also be used anywhere you need sun shelter (but would need either rocks/weights for the sand bags, or good tent pegs). Be aware that the footprint is pretty big with the extended lines for the sand bags so you couldn’t really use this on a crowded beach (see pics).
