Just perfect for an outdoor picnic
Got this picnic basket set for a book club picnic, and it was absolutely perfect! The basket is not only cute but also super practical with its collapsible cooler bag and insulated compartments to keep everything cool. The small table and blanket make it even better for outdoor lounging while reading. It has everything you need for a picnic date or outing. Easy to pack up, easy to carry, and so convenientâhighly recommend for any outdoor adventure

It’s nice, but definitely needs some improvements
So as a gift for 2, the wedding gift picnic basket is quite nice.The basket comes packaged decently. Inside of the box, the basket is wrapped in a thin plastic bag. The box stands out enough that you could reuse it to store the basket (if you didn’t want to have the basket out in the open to collect dust). It was a tight fit though, so I did have some difficulty getting the basket out of the box.While the inside of the basket is an insulated container (it seals with a zipper), I would think that it should keep hot foods warm (I haven’t been able to test this myself), but since it is a wicker basket, the basket itself isn’t waterproof, so keep that in mind. The utensils affixed to the lid of the basket do not enter the insulated area (once you close the zipper).However, I’m confused as to the practical use of this basket.I’m not sure what kind of food this basket is supposed to be used for. Even if it’s just for 2 adults, once you account for the size of the waterproof blanket, the 2 wine glasses, and all of the items attached to the lid of the basket, there isn’t really a lot of space left in the basket for food and drinks. I suppose if you and your partner have small appetites, you’ll be fine, but I don’t personally know an adult couple that wouldn’t need to bring an additional container for the rest of the items they would need to feed them a full meal. Then again, I’ve never been on a picnic, so maybe picnics aren’t meant for having a full meal, but just appetizers. That would explain the size of the plates anyway.I do have some issues with it though.(1) The basket itself has some sharp edges that can rip clothing or even cut you(2) The plates are appetizer size, so if you like to eat on bigger / adult size plates, you’re going to need to bring your own(3) The wine opener and the salt + pepper shakers look like cheaply made(4) Once you remove the plastic that the 2 wine glasses are wrapped in, there doesn’t seem to be any way to secure them within the basket, so storing them so that they don’t collide with each other / break during transit is going to be a challenge(5) The outside of the basket itself looks quite worn. I’m not quite sure if worn is the right word for what I mean. As this is a wicker basket, I wasn’t expecting it to look pristine, but I was expecting it to at least look like it does in the pictures in terms of color and vibrancy. There are tons of spots of discoloration all throughout the basket, and I’m not sure if this makes it look worn, dirty, or both. I was just expecting something that looked a little brighter, cleaner, and more uniform in color. Just to be clear, I’m not saying that this looks used, because it’s not that. Hopefully the pictures help you understand what I’m trying to say about this.All in all, while I do think it’s a nice basket, I worry about its practical limitations. Due to this, I don’t think it’s worth $54 (not in this economy anyways), but I’m also not a connoisseur of picnic baskets. These are just my first impressions.

BEAUTIFUL, USEFUL PICNIC BASKET with all the EXTRAS!
I loved how complete this picnic basket was for an afternoon out! This has it all…a throw blanket that’s waterproof on one side, a pair of plastic wine glasses, a setting for two of forks, butter knives, and spoons, an amazing table of bamboo with little legs and two spots for those glasses to sit (and this table can double as a little cutting board!), an insulated cooler to keep a decent amount of food hot or cold, and if cold with your own cold pack inside, probably enough room to toss in a few bottles of water or other beverage. And of course, the basket itself, lined in a pretty floral cloth. Mine was a very light gray on the cloth. The cloth parts of this are all washable.The size is great! Plenty of room for that bottle of wine they show in the photo, along with food, drink, and whatever else you’re bringing. That little foldout table/cutting board is actually the lid, which makes this nice and compact, and very useful.I am going to enjoy this picnic basket SO MUCH these next two seasons!

Well Designed – High Quality
I wasn’t looking for a picnic basket when I came upon this item but I just could not resist it. It immediately brought to mind two words I don’t often use “sweet” and “romantic”.The quality is excellent. The basket is very nicely made and seems plenty durable but the fabrics pieces were what impressed me the most as far as quality is concerned. The pieces are very well made, and full of detail. The basket liner fits perfectly, attaches sensibly, and is edged in lace that makes a really nice touch without being too cutesy or girly. The blanket, also well made, has a great waterproof backing and is quite sturdy.The overall design is impressive. Having a good sturdy wood lid that turns into a quite sturdy little table is ingenious.I can easily think of 10 different things that this basket and table would be useful for but it is so perfect as a picnic set I think I’ll plan a picnic with my husband (and I’ll probably need to bring a Defibrillator because we haven’t been on an actual picnic, alone, in decades and it’s not the kind of thing he’d expect from me).This would be a wonderful gift for a budding couple, an engagement or some similar occasion but I’m not going to part with it. I’m going to shock my husband instead.
