Iâm new to management I recently became a Unit Manager and this book has helped me become more confident in myself while leading a team. The author references studies which I do like, provides statistics and an interesting perspective for new female leaders. I think itâs a great read I highlighted through the whole thing. Really great content… even for men
I love the Leadership 9 Essential Skills for New Female content. I am a straight man and this content resonates with me. Really good book.I am giving it 4 stars because the Audible book is really hard to listen to.Listening to the audiobook is like listening to a presenter in a corporate customer service meeting, and the presenter is reading the slides verbatim. Very boring. I will stick with the book.

Good nuggets but formatting issues detract from credibility
I like this book for its concise information and the ability to draw a few nuggets of info that are reminders from management courses or other books Iâve read before. The book is easy to read – both in large spans of dedicated time and broken up into a few pages between meetings. Definitely helpful for someone like me that easily loses interest in books. The downside, there really isnât new information. Some sections are rushed, and the formatting is sloppy. There are page breaks where they donât belong, missing images and/or graphics, and section headings that begin as the last sentence of a page. I expect more precision from books that claim to be an authority on a topic which is primarily why my rating is where it is.Given the above, I wouldnât necessarily recommend the book and might not purchase others by the author when there are so many other authors/publishers to choose from. Although not an opinion shared by everyone, detail orientation speaks to credibility for me and this is therefore lacking the credibility I want for a resource on my bookshelf.

I absolutely loved reading this book, it has been such a fantastic tool to me in my career since the first page. As women, I believe we all encounter imposter syndrome at one time or another and this book stops you from feeling alone and this in itself instils confidence. Alongside this, the content and advice within this book is super useful, I found it particularly handy to be able to read about and identify the different leadership types, as at the time I was in a team of managers and I worked completely differently and it felt like I was doing it wrong until I read this book and I just realised what my style was and how to own this. I would recommend this to any woman in a managerial/corporate position looking for a bit of guidance, it will completely transform your thinking and build confidence in yourself. You got this girllll!
