Good product, very affordable.
This is very affordable chiminea, it works well. It is made of sheet metal which is thick enough, seems fine for what it is, it’s not flimsy at all. Nice features, grill gate, top, poker, and cover. The cover is very thin, I don’t think it will last long. you can get another on Amazon for $20. Puts out a lot of heat. Do I think it will get some surface rust, sure, You can use products to stop that. It doesn’t bother me if I get a little rust. The screw? Use a drill when you put it together, hand tight with a screw driver is not enough, drill it tight. I love the clay chiminea, however because of my climate, they crack. This is a very good chiminea for the money.

Beautiful Chiminea with that classic antique charm
I love the esthetic of the chiminea. It creates a charming ambiance that is the focal point for our balcony with its antique design. Itâs falsely labeled âcast ironâ which itâs absolutely NOT. Itâs lightweight enough where itâs easy to move and wonât blow over in a wind storm. Its perfect for simple evening fires – even in smaller spaces like mine. It truly elevates the area, and I happy with this purchase. It does however smoke out the front grate which is changing the color of the front which isnât idealâ¦. Cheap China knockoff of a real cast iron chiminea but a nice decor touch for the cost.

Looks nice not practical to light and smoke comes right out in your face
First I will say packaged well easy to put together. It does look nice . functionality unless you have raging fire smoke comes out front in your face which chiminea are supposed not to do. Then real kicker day two light winds 10 to 15 mph blew the whole thing right off my patio. Its so light you will have to put bricks or something to keep it put.

Just as displayed
This was a great buy. It is just as sturdy and just the right size as it is pictured. It’s easy to assemble and comes with everything you need. I love it.

A Fair Compromise
– of cost and utility. The Singlyfire prairie chiminea is definitely NOT cast iron as suggested by its foreign supplier, but is constructed of a fair gauge sheet steel. Mine went together easily, without any hemispherical mating problems of the upper/lower halves. Before use I suggest painting it well inside and out with a 1200 degree grill-style spray paint; also using something like a DAP, high-temp mortar joint caulk at the chimney-body joints and over fasteners to prevent condensation gathering and rust from forming. You can expect a decent radiant heat when burning, as long as there’s no wind, which will backdraft the grillwork (it having some misalignment latching problems.) The fire grate is cute – meant more for grilling burgers that holding a heavy ash bed and the vinyl cover is a good fit, though lightweight and likely wouldn’t last much of a winter if the unit were left outdoors. Might be a good idea to clean and rinse the stove within 24 hours of any use to also prevent corrosion of the thin gauge fire pot All in all, though, not a bad buy for the money.

The SINGLYFIRE Prairie Fire Outdoor Chiminea Fireplace Deck is a smallish metal one. It is tricky choosing an outdoor chiminea. I had a ceramic one for a decade and that eventually cracked and it eventually became unsafe. (Keep your fires moderate and donât let them get too hot). Then I had a metal space age looking one for about five years. That rusted and also looked unsafe. The SINGLYFIRE Prairie Fire Outdoor Chiminea is painted and should manage to avoid rust. ASSEMBLY: It was very easy to assemble, Ikea would be impressed. SIZE: It is a good size for the space. It comes with a lid to help avoid accumulating water in the base. It also has a (not very attractive) rain cover for the winter months. OPERATION: It takes smallish sticks and wood logs nicely. They need to be no more than 30-40cms to fit properly. The closing front mesh door and the small opening below it allow the fire to breath reasonably effectively. Smoke does tend to escape from the front top 15cms of the opening especially when you put new material in. It seems the chimney diameter is not quite wide enough for all the smoke to escape quickly enough. That will of course depend on wind direction. On a still day with little wind you can see smoke swirling around in the top part of the bowl and eventually escaping through the top part of the front grill.Keeping the fire from getting too fierce is important with a chiminea. Initially there will be some fumes as the heat cures the paint and that is another reason not to let the fire get too big for the first few uses. This seems to be good to vey good value for money.
