Professional lighting for content creation!
This softbox lighting kit exceeded my expectations. The lights are bright but soft, which makes them perfect for filming videos and taking photos without harsh shadows. The setup was easy, everything came well packed, and the quality of the materials feels very solid. I use it for my content and the difference in lighting is huge â it gives a clean, professional look. Totally recommend it if youâre serious about your content or need great lighting at home or in a studio.

Great lights for photography
So I have a set of lights at home and would love to use them but theyâre very large with wide legs and huge umbrellas. I needed something a bit more compact for my studio. I bought one and liked it so much I bought a second. These will pretty much do everything. Portrait, product, artwork etc. I also use them occasionally for additional light when drawing. They fold up nice and easy and can be tucked away when not in use.Very slight criticism here – I wish they expanded just a little bit taller. Doesnât stop me from giving them 5 stars. Best part is, the price. You really canât go wrong.Highly recommended

Professional
I like this Photography Lighting Kit. I often take photos of my 1-year-old daughter, but the lighting indoors is usually too dim, and I used to rely on my camera’s flash. The flash not only bothered her eyes but also made the photos look harsh and unnatural. This professional lighting kit is a game-changer. The light is soft, even, and much more comfortable for my baby. The photo quality has improved a lot â the images look more natural and well-lit. Itâs definitely worth it for parents who want better indoor photos of their little ones!

The remote works, but not well. Everything else is passable.
The remote only works if you point it at the top of the bulb, close to it, without the cover on. The remote doesn’t work if you have the cover on. Makes sense because the infrared from the remote gets diffused by the cover fabric and makes it hard for the sensor to pick up.Everything else is satisfactory for the price. Some would stay the stand is flimsy – but for under 50 bucks, what do you expect? It’s a cheap light. It’s reasonably bright and stands up on its own. That’s it needs to do at this price point. That said, it would probably shake around a lot if you used it outside.

Bright, even illumination
The brightness is just rightânot too harsh, but vibrant enough to make my artwork and signage stand out. The size is ideal for countertops or small displays, and the slim design saves space. Easy to set up and energy-efficient too.

Great value for the money. Handy for taking product shots.
This lighting kit is a great value for the money. I sell a lot of stuff on eBay and Facebook Marketplace and use this for taking product photos. It was super easy to set up, and despite what one of the other reviews said, the remote works great. I’ve tested it from at least 10 feet away with the cover on, and as long as it has a clear line of sight towards the light, it works flawlessly. You need the remote for controlling the brightness, but it’s not necessary for cycling through the various lighting modes. You can cycle through the modes using the on/off switch on the power cord. Each time the light is turned on with the physical switch, it cycles to the next mode.

Exactly What I Needed for ID Photos
It is super bright, but the glow is soft and evenâno harsh glare at all. Itâs really easy on the eyes. Setup was quick, the stand feels solid, and using it is a breeze. I love that the remote lets me adjust the brightness and color temperature easily. Overall, Iâm really happy with itâit gives me exactly the kind of lighting I needed. Now I can finally take my own ID photos at home!

Wrong Wattage! Actually 1/2 to 1/4 the brightness of an 85w Bulb!
Okay, so I’m not great at math, but I figure that when you say, “85w” that you actually mean 85 watts… done, right? Nope! There should be a giant asterisk at the end of that. Two, actually. Here’s the reason:Cons:1) 85 watts is accurate on 240v, which is, I’m sure, how this bulb was rated. In that respect, it appears it would actually make that. But, this is America. In America, where we have the plugs this attaches to, we get 120v. What does that mean? Again, bad at math, but I googled it. Turns out that half of 85 is 42.5. That’s what I was getting, almost, out of my bulb. And here’s the kicker. What appears to be the same bulb is advertised as 40w from other Amazon brands and sellers. So, it’s a known thing. But wait, there’s more!2) You only get the “full” 42.5 watts when it’s set on 5,000K (the middle of the color temp range). I presume there are two sets of LED’s in this with one being 3,000 Kelvin and the other being 7,000 Kelvin. Only by running both at full power do you get 5,000K and full brightness. What does that mean? First, this is a 21-Watt bulb in America unless you’re on 5,000 K. That limits you on full brightness to one color temp. I’ll discuss the second reason below.Pros:1) Well, because you’re only drawing HALF of the rated power in America, the bulb will last much longer. The individual LED’s won’t heat up and degrade as fast. So, it’ll be half as bright but maybe last 4 times as long?2) Setup was a breeze and the umbrella actually deployed like an umbrella and seems sturdy enough. While the ‘tripod’ was flimsy, they are all buying them from the same supplier, so you get what everybody else gets. I, for one, have a regular 1/4-20 attachment for QD’s on a proper tripod that doesn’t feel like it’s falling over all the time.Final verdict? Hey, it’s better than the one I had. Smaller for my studio and easier to transport. Seems like it should last as long as the 8-years that my last studio light did. Kinda wish they wouldn’t have lied in their ad.
