Good performance for the price
PROS: We used this at an outdoor birthday party in July, in Tucson, AZ, under a gazebo at a local park. It was 106 degrees Fahrenheit. This misting fan is basically an portable swamp cooler. It helped immensely, and I believe you could feel the cooling effects to 10-15 feet away. It’s quiet – about as loud as any fan on a floor stand.CONS: Pack a 5 gallon water jug to keep with you for refills. It’s a little bulky (about 2′ tall by 18″ wide), but you can separate the fan from the base and pan for storage and transport.

Worth every penny
Camping in the desert in the summer? WTF. Every few years, one of my friends forgets how FRICKEN HOT it is in the California desert in the summer, and plans a camping trip. Not wanting to miss out, but also not wanting to melt, I ordered this unit. My requirements: had to be battery-powered and have replaceable/backup batteries, had a decent-sized water reservoir, and could cool an area, not just a personal cooler. This unit was the figurative star of the campsite. I ordered and charged an extra battery before i went, and was solar charging the swapped out battery when the other was on-duty. I seldom left the cone of cooling air that the Turbro sent through our camp chairs. THANK YOU!!!

The only way I can use it with the misty on is wearing a bathing suit.

DISAPPOINTED
I suppose if I could have actually charged the battery pack I may have found this to be a good fan. BUT a manufacturer defect had the plug too short to successfully connect to the battery and so it would fall out. In addition, the water compartment was warped and I was unable to latch the top down. Sent back. Way too expensive for such poor quality!

Lifesaver in Arizona heat
2024 is the hottest, longest summer in Arizona.I frequently vend at farmers markets, and the large water reservoir only needs to be filled twice for a 4 hour market. The battery is not even halfway used up by the end of it.Only downside is that the misters canât be adjusted and it does spray quite a bit of water. I need to be careful where I place the fan or I risk soaking whatâs in front of it with water, or drenching my vendor neighbor. However, thatâs a risk Iâm willing to take when I compare this to those tiny Ryobi mister fans.
