Great Shade Option
I bought the black out version for camping rather than the beach, and it has worked great for 4 trips. It is incredibly easy to set up and take down solo.The black out shade is enough to drop the temp by 5 degrees when I checked, and the windows are spaced well for cracking to allow a breeze/airflow.I was a little worried about the bottom since this was advertised for sand and I would be using it on dirt/rocks, but even after multiple uses the bottom is solid with no rips or tears. I even dragged it around quite a bit each time while adjusting placement and shifting to follow the sun.I bought the 3-4 person, and it would fit that if you squish. Perfect size for 1-2 people if you would like a little space and to spread out.It does fit a single full size chair and person, though I am admittedly a bit short. If you want to fit more than one chair in this, you’d need to do the low chairs.The only downside is the stakes it came with, they were cheap plastic that didn’t help when the wind picked up, but which is understandable for the price. I switched them out for some sturdier metal stakes without issue.

Bought this for a beach day and man this thing is fantastic!!It was a little hard to put back in the case but after slowing down and actually looking at the instructions on the package we figured it out pretty easy and it folded right down!!LOVE it and it will get a ton of use!!

Awesome when in use, a pain to pack up
Is great for time at the beach with family. Pops up in seconds and stays put due to the anchor bags.Very comfortable and appreciate the side pockets.Unfortunately it is a pain to pack up. Each time we use it it takes 5 or so minutes to figure out how to fold this tent into the bag. While there are instructions printed on it, we never have success following it. Just folding and twisting and hoping it will pop into a circle again and fit in the bag.

After many trips to the beach, my daughter and I decided that sometimes we need shade. We thought long and hard about getting an umbrella but decided it wouldnât win the war against the sun. While at goodwill, a friend and I found a pop up beach tent. I needed to see how big it was and therefore opened it right in the middle of the store. After a long and hard try at getting it back into the bag, we were defeated by said pop up tent. We walked away slowly and never returned to the site of the crime. I still wanted a tent but cannot be bothered by having to set it up. I ordered this tent bc it had directions on how to get it back into the bag. My family and I went to the beach last weekend and enjoyed our new tent. When the time came to go home, we grabbed the directions and went to work. The pictures donât really help. My husband managed to get it back into the bag. Apparently itâs easy. Next time I go to the beach without him I will take on the battle of fort beach tent. There may be some casualties but I will win the battle and take on the war of next time. All in all, great tent!

Kept me out of the sun
I bought this for our trip to Virginia Beach, and as I’ve gotten older, I’m break out in hives when I get too much sun exposure. So I needed something that was going to be easy to put up and take down, and give me good protection from the sun. And this did that.It’s not big by any means. There was enough room for me to sit under the canopy and have the cooler inside it as well. If you have a small children you could probably fit them underneath if needed.We have many things that are a fold to close type of tent, and this one followed the same type of logic. Closed up nicely and went back into the bag easily. I can’t wait to bring it on the next trip when needed!

A tad pricey but super practical for the beach
I chose this basically because it was the only pop up tent I could get in time for our vacation with kids to the coast. It also looked as wind resistant as I could find so I went for it. I still think itâs priced about 30% higher than it should be but I am so glad I brought this with us. It was larger than I expected it to be (in a good way) Itâs the perfect spot to stash all your beach snacks to keep them out of the reach of seagulls, it was a nice sand-free and shady spot to put my 6 month old down, and it held up well in the wind when we placed rocks in the corner pockets. The vents along the back mean itâs still breezy in there if youâre going somewhere cooler and wanting a bit of wind shelter this isnât the ideal candidate but it does ok. If someone held a towel over the entrance for you it would be a good spot to change if need be. I like that thereâs a frame all along the bottom panel that juts out the front to make a kind of âporchâ which helps reduce the amount of sand being tracked in. This is easy enough to pop up in the backyard or at a park too so Iâm sure weâll use it again plenty this summer.

Doesn’t fold up after 2 uses. Not user error, was very careful. The oval metal frame seems to shift in the sleeve it’s in causing it to be bowed and will not fold correctly.

Ja, zugegeben, den Faltmechanismus sollte man mehrfach vor dem Strandgang geübt haben. Das Auseinanderfalten funktioniert automatisch, das Zusammenfalten – wenn man sich nicht vorher damit beschäftigt hat- gerät manchmal zur Zirkusnummer. Mittlerweile habe ich es drauf und gebe eine klare Kaufempfehlung!

Wir haben die Strandmuschel nun seit mehreren Monaten sehr oft im Einsatz, sie ist wirklich rundum super! Ãffnet man die Seiten zieht viel frische Luft durch, das Zelt lässt sich super einfach (auch alleine) wieder zusammenfalten, es hält auch stärkeren Wind stand, es sieht gut aus, bietet reichlich Platz (mein Mann, ich und Baby haben darin genügend Möglichkeiten uns auszubreiten inkl. dem ganzen Kram den man mit Baby so dabei hat) und ist auch ansonsten top verarbeitet! Wir sind wirklich mehr als zufrieden mit dem Kauf.

A very good size for this kind of thing so myself, girlfriend and small child could squeeze in if necessary for a bit of respite from the sun, plenty of windows with mesh over to add a breeze or more shade as the sun moves. Super easy to pop up and easy to fold down (instructions a little confusing for the last step but just apply a bit of force and it seems to just find it’s own way into the correct shape) corners have little bags to fill with sand to weigh it down which could be a little better as they face the tent but a very minor gripe. All in all perfect for a day at the beach or if just out for a picnic.
