Extremely impressive projector for the price!
I am pretty stoked about this projector. I have only had it briefly but it has left a huge impression on me.Let me start off by saying that I am a home-theater buff. I love it but don’t have the money to be turning a room in my home into a $10,000+ dedicated home theater. I have been building my components for almost a decade and am finally fairly happy with what I have now. Up until recently I have been using a high end 75 inch 4K TV along with an 7.2.4 AVR setup and have been happy with the results. Despite this I have always felt like something was missing. The picture quality of the TV is exceptional and the sound system is amazing. Still, there was just something that I hadn’t been able to put my finger on.I have a somewhat ghetto home theater setup in my basement. It shares the space with my fitness equipment. That space has a ceiling mounted projector and a 100 inch screen that I put together 5 or 6 years ago. I was always amazed at how immersive that large of a screen looked but the rest of the room left a lot to be desired.I recently added height speakers to my living room receiver setup instead of the up-firing ones I had been using previously. Because the significant other said “no more holes in the walls” I was left to come up with a creative solution for height speakers. The by-product of this was I had a setup where I could mount a full-sized projection screen in front of my tv. It is manual pull-down screen for now but I may invest in something more permanent and more expensive in the future.I currently have four projectors now that I added this Elephas unit to the mix. My first was an Artlii projector which was decent for when I bought it and has served me well in the basement over the last 6 years. The picture quality was solid but the noise level of the fan is fairly high. I also snagged an Epson projector from a local high school that was selling them off after a tech upgrade. The epson is incredibly bright but the resolution is somewhere between 720 and 1080 p and it doesn’t work with my receiver for some reason.I also purchased a Mirroir Pro 810 projector a couple of months ago that I have been tinkering with. I loved some of the more modern features on it (automatic keystone, smart features, etc…) but for my specific application/setup it just wasn’t giving me the wow factor visually.Enter the Elephas W1K.I watch Youtube all of the time and watched a comparative review of current Amazon projectors under $500. I highly recommend his channel (The Hook Up). He did extensive testing of everything that these projectors have to offer from picture quality (which the Elephas won even against models costing twice as much), functionality, smart features, power consumptions, etc…. So, wanting a better overall visual experience I ordered it. I knew that if it didn’t live up to the hype I could always return it since it is Amazon after all.It lives up to the hype.It is super easy to setup and connect all of your favorite streaming apps. Everything is very responsive. Of course I am not really using any of the built-in smart features as I have it connected to my AVR. Still I set them up anyway just for peace of mind.I am really blown away by the picture quality. The room I have the setup in can be light-controlled to an extent as I have blackout curtains but light does leak into the room as it is an open room on two sides. Still the picture quality is very impressive even in a moderately lit room. In complete darkness the picture is almost identical to my $1500 tv. The colors are great and I do not miss the 4k resolution since the image is so large and immersive (actual screen size with this setup is around 95 inches).I have yet to run into anything negative with this projector and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for exceptional performance at a relatively low price point.Edit: Just a quick edit. I purchased an inexpensive 120 inch ALR screen to try with this projector.Oh My!I loved this projector before but with the ALR screen the visuals are beyond stunning with one caveat. You need to be perfectly centered in your seating position with the screen. If you arenât then there is quite a notable drop off in visual performance. But, again, if you are centered, the visual experience is like nothing I have ever experienced even from the more expensive TVs. Super bright, Balanced but impressive contrast and the colors pop without being overly saturated. The video attached to this review is with the standard screen. The pictures are with the ALR screen.

Impressive. A substantial upgrade from cheaper projectors
After using the Magicubic H300 PRO, I bought a Happrun H1. I used these extensively until I needed an upgrade. The main problems with these lower end projectors are as follows.Sound:The Happrun H1 when used with external speakers via the 3.5mm port is a bad experience. The noise floor is too loud and requires boosting from another device (Xbox drives the sound well, but on PC needs sound boosters). This is tolerable at first but is soon outgrown. The W1K’s built in speakers are good enough to be used without external speakers. While I wouldn’t recommend over using your surround sound speaker setup, it’s fine to play basic media and music, but not the absolute best for watching movies.Lack of apps:I didn’t think I’d need this, but after using the W1K the operating system is a MUST. It’s not that kind of smart TV software that is slow, glitchy, and unreliable. It’s very good and sleek. Installing Plex is easy and can be placed directly on the home screen. However, the Plex app sometimes suffers from bad wifi and will drop frames and require restart. Laptop/Xbox still recommended to use Plex.Visual Settings:One of the important features the H1 lacks is extensive video settings. With the W1K you can not only change the contrast and brightness and saturation, but you can customize the white balance. This is a major setting for those calibrating their projector to look like their monitors.Time of day:With the Happrun H1 I would strictly use it after dusk. This became a bit of a tradition when planning to watch, but after using the W1K, this doesn’t completely need to be the case. The W1K is bright enough to perform pretty well during the day. It’s not perfect, but if you’re recapping an episode, or just wanting to show someone a video, it does the job about as good as a very large but not very bright TV. Incredibly impressive. Attached is a photo during daytime use.At night:When the lights are all turned off, the projector performs excellently. I don’t know how accurate the specs listed are for this projector, but side by side with the Happrun H1, it’s very bright, the colors are pretty and distinct, the shadows are present, the highlights aren’t gone, and overall a very impressive and easy to use projector for $280.Controller:Projector receives input even if not directly pointing at it in very close proximity. The Happrun had issues with this, but the WLK can take input from across the room. Controllers take AAA batteries with a battery bay that is very hard to open. Tip: Press down on the pull tab, then grab a very tiny thin metal rod (like a paperclip but strong) to pry the battery bay door forward, and it will pop off.Final verdict:It’s not just good, it’s probably the best you can get before going up to 4K and DLP $800+ range.

Does not disappoint
After weeks of research all roads seemed to lead to this projector. I was very skeptical due to the price point. I’m mostly disappointed in the sound bar I purchased separately because this projector deserves a surround sound set up. My bedroom was quite literally transformed into a home theater. During the day with the blinds closed this projector does not disappoint. It’s important to note that I have this thing blown up to a 150′ screen and the picture quality has you feeling like your at the theater.

Best Budget Projector Out There!
Absolutely love this projector! The picture is super clear, setup was easy, and it works great in my bedroom. Iâve used it for gaming, movies, and YouTube, and itâs been awesome every time. The built in speakers are decent, and I love that it supports Bluetooth for better sound. Definitely worth the price!

Pros: Super easy/fast setup, plug and play, went from boxed to projecting in less than a minute.Easy to use manual focus and keystone dials.Multiple media input options.Nice quality compartmented carry bag and small adjustable tripod included.1080p Full HD quality, screen size tested from 30″ to approx 175″, all fantastic picture quality.Size is perfect for portability, and even just moving around your house if you’re using it for holiday projection displays. The price for the quality you receive is phenomenal.Cons: Relatively quiet and lacking bass in-built speakers, but not terrible sound. Good for quiet rooms, but for better quality sound and bass an external sound source is recommended.Keystone dial and tripod can be fiddly to get set precisely correct.(Please note, pictured Google Chromecast not included)Not a paid review.Purchased through Amazon Prime in Australia, delivery received in 2 business days.

Ive had this about a month now, with daily usage.Out the box this is a great, it is very much plug in and play, it’s a functional little projector. I like the fact you can connect bluetooth headphones or via the 3.5mm headphone jack, as well as the sound coming from the projector itself, this isn’t tinny or poor quality but it isnt Dolby quality. It is very easy to use, I am not a technophobe, but to change and put your film into focus, you turn a dial on the machine. This is a small little machine, it is portable, it isn’t very noisy, you will hear some whirring but you will tune this out.You will need a HDMI to USB for phone usage, which I am glad I read product descriptions or I would have missed this, I have a Samsung and it connects automatically with DEX, so I can watch YouTube, disney, prime for example.I have plugged In the PlayStation and played games as well as used as a bluray player, for the older technology when we purchased physical films on discs no less. :)The quality of the viewings on all platforms is amazing and it even features the cutest little remote control. Which so far I have used to switch it on/off and volume control. I am a simple creature.I use this with a camera tripod (already owned), which lifts it up for better viewing pleasure, otherwise I am sure the dog will love eye height TV. The tripod also keeps it nice and sturdy. So I do recommend getting one.I have a attached a few pictures of games and films. The “screen” is a 4 door wardrobe and this fills it end to end.I don’t think I’ll ever buy a TV again. Very happy with my purchase.
