Great, small package, light
Iâm a video professional, bought this light just to check it out. I have their first, smaller model, that Iâve used as an on board light for years.This model is larger than Iâd originally thought. It will still work as an onboard, but has enough punch to act as a fill, edge, or backlight for an interview.It is magnetic, but that magnet is a little weak as the fixture has some weight to it. It offered some cool modes and charging features. Would buy again

The everywhere light
this light does everything for me. I have used it many times while outdoors and capturing insect macro shots. The light is bright enough for me close down my aperture and still get a great exposure.Iâve also used it for on-location portraits. When i need a fill light on a sunny day or whether i need a key ight in the shadows, this light handles that. It is a small light source so it will create hard shadows but i like that look for outdoor portrait.The light is compact and can easily fit in my back pockets as well as slipping it into a pocket on my camera bag, making it perfect to take with me any, and everywhere. it has a very good battery life in moderate settings but that time gets cut if you need to use it at full power. I can say that at 50% or less, i can use this light for multiple sessions before needing to charge it.The color quality that you get from this light is also very good. It does a great job of keeping the colors that it illuminates, accurate so that i have less post work. The bicolor light allows me to adjust the color temperature of the light to match the ambient light in the scene so that i can keep it more natural and balanced.

Review from someone just trying to take some indoor phone pics
I feel like how you feel about this light might differ depending on your intended use.First, there doesnât seem to be a manual available, not in the box, not on the website, and not in the app. Itâs not a particularly complicated device, but it would have been nice to have to compare real life use with expected use, troubleshooting, etc. It didnât need to be on paper, but it should be somewhere.Included is the light, the diffuser, a quick release, warranty card, brand stickers, and a USB C to USB C cord. A fast charging block would have been a welcome inclusion considering the power needs.The app requires creating an account, but was a lot easier for me to use the app controls than the on-device screen. It also had a firmware update, that Iâm guessing is only available through the app. In the bluetooth menu youâll need to hold down reset, it seems to be the word theyâre using for âpairingâ. The app doesnât seem to have the ability to switch to âboostâ mode, and shows estimated time of battery life, but it isnât really accurate. I was taking photos for 20 minutes, it said 45 minutes life the whole time, and the battery went from 98% to 83%.The special effects are fun if you do any creative video. I kinda wish I did just to play with them.Everything attaches magnetically and securely, which is really nice. The non-slip back piece may have latex – I donât expect to be in contact with it very much, but I may stick something over it anyway. The diffuser was really nice for selfies using an iPhone, both for keeping from washing me out and protecting my eyes.A surprise bonus is the display will tell you how many watts the device is pulling while itâs charging. It does sometimes seem confused by various things Iâve tried to charge it with – it rejected my Switch 45W cord entirely, and seems to move to slow charge at 95% or so in my normal outlet. Another reason it would be nice to see a brick in the package here.The emergency power output is a really nice feature. It didnât want to work before the firmware update, but after that it worked fine on my iPhone 15 Pro.TL;DR: It works well for me, would have liked a manual and a power block. Itâs a power hog, but it will provide much needed fill light in my suboptimal photography setup. Secondary use as a power bank is nifty, but youâll probably need to firmware update through the app to use it. 4.5 stars, rounded up.

So well built
This is such a beast of a light. I love the quick mount. Also, the diffuser does a nice job and the control panel is decently intuitive. I played around with the app, but really I just like to set it up on the light itself. Maybe if I had more than one I would use the app to sync them together. The color temperature and brightness adjust smoothly and one thing that stands out about this particular light is how uniform the brightness is throughout the color temperature range. That way I don’t have to adjust the iso or aperture of my camera just because I adjusted the color of the light. So far I have used it on interviews as a key light and a hair light, but not a fill because it is too small of a source. In a pinch it could be used this way as long as I use a sheet or any other diffuser to spread it out. I was a little apprehensive about the light when I saw that it has a fan, but really I can’t even hear it above the room’s ambient noise. It might be more of a concern if it were mounted on my camera, but I have been using it on a separate stand and that has been just fine. I would definitely recommend it!
