The Ergodyne Chill-Its 6602 Evaporative Cooling Towel uses a super evaporative PVA material to absorb water to then allow it to evaporate slowly for instant, long-lasting cooling relief. This super-evaporative PVA material is designed to create a feeling colder than ambient air temperature and absorb and hold more water than other cooling towels on the market for a longer-lasting cooling. This neck cooling wrap can be used for hours or for quick relief and is completely reusable, just re-wet to activate.
HOW TO ACTIVATE
Run the PVA cooling towel under water for one minute or until saturated, wring out excess water and twirl or snap in the air for no-drip cooling. Drape the towel around neck or head for instant cooling relief. Material will dry stiff, simply rewet until soft to activate, and it’s ready to go again. Towel can be reused over and over. Before storing, examine product for dirt and debris. If soiled, machine wash then store in plastic tubing container for safe keeping.
This evaporative towel is the perfect cooling headwear for anyone working in the heat and exposed to possible heat-related illnesses like heat cramps, heat strokes, or heat exhaustion are possible. Great for workers in construction, carpentry, mining, landscaping, OR for outdoor activities like camping, yoga, baseball, softball, soccer, running, biking, days at the beach or on a boat, golf, yard work, fishing, gardening, hiking, riding motorcycles and more.

Stay cool
We love this cooling towel. We actually bought 2 different ones because they are so nice. On a hot day they are the best cooling towel we have ever used. Wash nicely. Great cooling towel after a hot day playing golf, tennis and pickle ball. Fits in athletic bags!!!

Bedtime relief
This is getting me through our hot hot summer! I fall asleep fast and stay asleep. The only thing I donât like about it is that it dries out stiff.

It worked fine, I just wished it was longer -i didnât pay attention to the length
It will keep you cool but youâll wish it was longer real quick. I later bought a 29â one and thatâs the one Iâll stick with. They both do an old job but the longer is more functional. I guess you could use the shorter one for a kid

Better yet, lie down on it
What a life saver. My apartment is on the top floor and is not air conditioned. We’ve been having humid, 100+ degree weather, and I would not survive without this towel. Yes, it’s refreshing if you drape it on your neck or arm, but if you want your body temperature to plummet, here’s what you do. Pour some cold water on it (refridgerated water, if you have it). *Barely* wring it out. This towel can be saturated and it still won’t drip. Now drape the towel across your lap, or lay it on your chest/stomach. Better yet, lie down on it. You will be cold immediately. In fact, it might even be too cold for you! It works best when it’s flat on your skin, which is why it’s more effective to lay it on your torso or legs than it is to just drape it over your neck with a shirt on.Now, it’s true that this is basically a glorified synthetic chamois, like you’d use to dry your car. It’s a tiny bit thicker, but not by much. If you want to spend only $5 instead of $10, go down to your local auto store and see if they have one in the car cleaner section. You’ll know it’s the right material if it comes rolled up in a tube and packaged in its own plastic wrap. It’s called “PVA” material.

Do I really like it?
Was gifted to me for heat relief during summer golf. I think I used it once, and then not even after the round. Maybe if I were near heat stroke , it would be appealing

The fact I can write this speaks volumes.
You have to understand Florida heat to understand this review.Today was 95 degrees and sick humidity. Sweat doesn’t evaporate, it just soaks your clothes. Just mowing the lawn brings you close to heatstroke. I’m usually wiped the rest of the day. Looking for a little relief, I ordered this.First, this is in no way cloth. It feels like textured gel. It’s pliable until wet the first time. When it dries it is stiff.Today I had yard work to do, got it wet per instructions and draped it around my neck, tucked into the top of the my shirt.I did fence repair then up on the roof to clear debris. After, I raked the debris from the yard.Typically, I would be a wreck after this. Make no mistake. I was hot and sweating but I wasn’t wiped out. I did resoak it a few times. Then I went out and pulled up sod, raked it away and at that point I started overheating.I’d worked in the yard for three and a half hours. After a shower, I’m tired but not dead.Normal yard work is 1 to 2 hours. 3.5 hours speaks volumes about the towel.I think anywhere else in the US this would keep you temperate and comfortable. Here it keeps you alive. That’s worth 5 stars.

I use it for my bike rides, it clearly brings down the temperature by a couple of degrees. The difference is very evident as without this, i’d be sweating in the helmet, and very comfortable with this wrapped around my neck

This is a wonderful product.. it’s a great material – better than a wet towel wrung out. It retains moisture well, so under-wrining it out will leave a dampness on you, depending on where you wear it.It’s so easy to clean and use.I can get maybe 15-20 minutes on one side before it warms up to my body temperature, before I need to rotate it to the other/’cool’ side – but it stays cool flipping it this way.I have hyperhidrosis and work in a hot kitchen so the humidity slaughters me and I end up needing to stuff this into a bag and refrigerate or freeze it for 2-3 minutes and it’s “new” again. (Putting it in the freezer obviously makes it stiff, so store it how you’d wear it.)It’s a wonderful aid for when I can’t evaporate the sweat and start overheating fast– you can wear it easily over shoulders or neck, or fold it into a pocket, or drape it over the head.My coworkers are impressed with it and often ask if they can hold it when we’re all melting in heat waves outside haha.My coworker spent around $40 for a plug-in fan, and I spent less for something I can tailor to my needs and travel with.. it’s wonderful.

Works very well and noticeably keeps you cool! I use this product when I work outdoors cutting the grass etc. I am mainly bald so protecting my head from the sunlight and keeping my head cool is essential. Also great to drape on your shoulders to cool your upper body. This product is easy to use and delivers the intended comfort. It is easy to wash as well. I would definitely recommend this product.

I have endo which (among other things) causes sporadic hot flashes – I took this back country camping and it honestly saved my life. We hiked about 15k up a mountain in plus 30 Celsius with no wind or cloud coverage. It was about a 10 hour hike (one way) and I was probably carrying 30 pounds in my bag so I was HOT. I soaked this thing in nearby streams or with my water bottle and either hung it around my neck or strapped it to my bag to wipe my face. If I didn’t have this there’s no way I would have made it!
