Worth the money if you want a long-lasting set
I had played ladder toss about a year ago at a friends house and loved it! When summer came around, I got the itch to get my own set. I had done a lot of research into the matter because I wanted a set that would last a while.What I gathered is that the games that cost in the $20-$30 range were usually made of PVC. Depending on the design of the set, the ladders were very flimsy. They would fall over easily when you threw bolas at them and made consistent game play difficult. Another issue was that if the PVC sets were out in heat for too long, they would warp or melt.I dabbled with making my own set, but the cost would have been about the same and there was the risk of building it improperly.The next tier of games were in the $50-$75 range. These sets were made of metal or wood. I was hesitant at first to spend that much money but after reading the reviews the extra 20 or 30 I would put in compared to a PVC set seemed worth it. Being that it was made of metal, it would be much more durable when you threw bolas at them. The chance of them warping or melting was much less and it was easy to set up and breakdown.I’ve only had this set for about 3 months and have only played with 2 or 3 times but I absolutely love it. The set comes with a fabric bag to store all of the pieces in as well as instructions to put it together and how to play. The design is sleek, colorful, and elegant. Playing with it is a blast. You can tell that the designers took their time into crafting the set. Transporting and breaking down the set is a piece of cake. The only thing to watch out for is not to lose the knobs that tighten the rungs of the ladder.I do have a few issues with the set. They are few and easily overlooked.The set is difficult to set up with one person. It is hard to balance all the pieces and put them together with one person. However, when I had 1 or more people helping me, setting up went a lot easier. The only other thing is that the set comes with rubber bolas instead of the golf ball bolas but these are nice because when you throw them, you don’t have to worry about injuring someone so you can really whip them at the ladder if you want.Overall, I thought it was a great buy when you think of the money you will spend versus the quality and longevity of the product you are getting. Therefore, I would recommend spending the extra 20-30 dollars on a set that will last if you are serious about using it again and again.

So far, so good!
This game is a favorite at our beach house. We play round after round, and always end up laughing. Most of my friends have never heard of it, (everyone here seems to play cornhole) but now are addicted as well.The other sets we’ve had are cumbersome to breakdown and set up, so we leave them assembled, which makes them vulnerable to breaking, and tough to store. This sets up so quickly, it’s not an issue.Seems very sturdy, though we did use garden spikes to help anchor. They really weren’t necessary.I did feel sand on some of the balls, and have read where leaking sand might be an issue. We have some balls from the old sets, so we can always use them, though they are much harder. Will wait and see.

surefire family fun
after reviewing many other ladder ball game sets from different brands, i ultimately went with this one based on the great reviews. we have been very happy with it! assembly was easy and only took a couple minutes. the construction seems sturdy and like it will hold up for a long time. we like the appearance and that there is a built-in magnetic scorekeeper on the side of one of the ladders. our only concern is that the scoreboard itself is a sticker and is already starting to peel, so we will likely need to reinforce with clear packing tape. despite that minor disappointment, this is still our new go-to yard game! highly recommended.

Great quality set
I researched ladder ball sets for awhile and most of them were made of plastic. This one was more costly than the rest but it’s definitely worth it. The frame is made of metal & the balls are great quality too. My daughter has had hers for 3 years now and it gets used often & is still very solid. I’ve only had mine for a few weeks but it’s already gotten some good use. I am so glad that I chose this brand. It comes with a nice storage bag for the end of the season or for traveling as well. âââââ

Great product with sturdy metal parts that screw into each other. Can be a little tricky to set up. The only downside is that the scoring system is only on one side.

We love this product, and have played it multiple times in the 2 weeks we have had it! Easy to set up, like less then 10 minutes with clear directions. Love that it is metal and has a scoring board built into the game itself. Makes it super easy to keep track when you have had a few drinks. Shipping and delivery was fast. The only reason I am rating 4/5, is the fact that now that we have played it several times, we have noticed the sand inside the balls gets less and less with every play. So I did order another set of balls on ropes that actual golf balls so we don’t run into this problem again. So my only suggestion. For people buying this game is RUN DON’T WALK, the higher price is worth the metal frame over the plastic and before you play seal the opening where the ball and rope meet with caulking or glue to prevent sand loss.
