If your kid loves learning about new animals, this is definitely for them! It is a fantastic book full of cool facts.

Filled with Great information
This book is a great starting point for kids. With so many different animals, it acts as a diving board into the world of animals. I purchased for my 7 year old who is obsessed with animals and wants to know everything they can about each type. It has introduced many new animals in a way that we are able to explore more about different ones we see. Tons of interesting facts, great pictures and well written. A great tool for homeschooling as kids can research more into the animal they find in it and create a whole unit around them, reading, geography and much much more. Definitely recommend to animal loving kids and grown ups alike! There is even a section to teach the difference between crocodiles and alligators lol.

How can an encyclopedia not get 5 stars ?
Well, I didn’t read it. It was for the grand kids. But, I’m sure it’s ok. And I’m still a fan of hard copy media. It’s how we know today that they have been changing the definitions on words and history… Hold onto your old encyclopedias/dictionaries.

Neat
Binding quality is ok. The information is thorough. I didn’t anticipate information about certain animals being linked to Greek gods, and I’m not interested in that but I’m realizing it’s an encyclopedia, not a biology/habitat book which would be more specifically what I’m looking for. So it doesn’t lose any of its rating.

The books in this series are fantastic – informative but in a very easy straightforward way. Our Grandson loves them and I believe they are something he will keep going back to you as he gets older
