I loved the portability, so I ordered, but knowing this set was smaller, I crossed my fingers the size wouldn’t feel too small. It was just fine.Also, good quality construction. Instructions for several games options printed on back of dry erase scoreboard. Appreciated having both a zippered case (for travel) and the labeled cardboard box (for storage – keeps dust off in the garage).

I’ve had a ladder ball game for my kids to play with for years. It is the normal pvc one and ours was not in that great of shape, so I got this one. I could not be more pleased. This game is made really well out of metal. It folds up fairly small in a travel case, maybe 14″x14″x 6″ or so. Each section telescopes out and locks into place. The legs swing down and have a latch that locks them in as well. Then you can pull the vertical pieces apart from each other to make the game the correct width. That part is a little tricky, because the poles are very tight, but it does work. It takes a few moments, but it isn’t too complicated or hard to get these ready to play. The throwing balls are secured with a strong section of rope and appear to also be very durable. The game also comes with rules and a white board for keeping score.Play is as fun as any other ladder ball game we’ve used. The device is strong and stable and we had plenty of fun using it. The white board wasn’t that great, it was a typical cheap white board. I didn’t even realize it was in the package though, so I didn’t care. The quality of this toy, the metal its made of, and the fact that you can package it up and keep it nice makes be believe it will last us far longer than our last game.I would definitely recommend if you’re in the market for one of these games.

Very easy to use, very sturdy, score tracking mechanism could be better, not rust-proof
I haven’t been able to use it extensively over a long period of time yet, but here are my impressions after setting it up, playing a few games, and breaking it down:This is so much better than the plastic set I have that is a bunch of plastic pipes and connectors in a bag that you have to assemble one piece at a time and that constantly comes loose and is very easy to break.This one you can literally have both goals out of the bag and set up and start playing in 1 minute flat. Breaking it down and putting it back into the box is just as fast.Once assembled it’s very sturdy. It doesn’t flop around and almost tip over when the balls land hard like my cheap plastic set.The case is decent quality and big enough to fit everything into without much hassle.One thing I don’t love is the score board. On my old crappy plastic set there was a simple scoring scale/legend on one of the vertical supports, and a rubber ring you would slide down to line up with the correct number each time somebody scored. That way each team can keep their own score and it’s all built into the ladder and can’t get lost and you can easily see the other team’s score. With this set you have to constantly pick up and put down the scoreboard and marker and one person has to score for both teams which is kind of a pain. Then if they don’t put the scoreboard in sight of the other teams they have no idea what the score is and have to keep asking. Then of course after a year of storage the marker will be dried out and you won’t have any way to keep score during your camping trip. If this set had an equivalent score tracking system as my cheap plastic set, I wouldn’t remove a star.I also suspect that if you leave this out in the rain it is going to rust up pretty quick. It’s painted all over, but I’m guessing the hardware isn’t stainless and water will get inside the metal frame and rust and then drip rust out and over time it’ll not operate as smoothly and might leak rust water and stain surfaces. That’s one area where the cheap plastic sets are better – if you go RV camping you can leave them up all weekend and not worry if they get rained on. With these you need to make sure they are covered or put away if you want them to last.

Super fun, easy to learn Game – Great Addition to Family Game Night!
Iâm always on the lookout for fun yard games to play as a family! This a ladder ball game set with 2 ladder scoring posts, 6 game balls (3 in each color), instructions, and a carrying case. The throwing takes a little practice, but itâs really fun to learn and play! Anyone able to throw a ball can play this game. Adults may need to help a bit with the scoring system. Kids just need to be supervised while someone is throwing the balls, so that they donât get in the way and get hurt. This set seems sturdy and well-made. Weâve played it a lot and the rope seems well anchored in the balls. None of them have come loose. I really love that the scoring posts fold down to a manageable size and store easily in the carrying case. It makes it easy to transport to the park or camping. This has definitely been added to our family Game night rotation!

The Ladder Ball game was a total hit at my daughter’s birthday party! Both kids and adults loved the gameâsimple to learn for those who have never played, and endlessly entertaining. The heavy-duty steel frame is very sturdy and looks like it should hold up great over time. It was also very quick to setup which meant we could jump straight into the fun. The included storage/carrying case made it easy to pack away after the party. If you’re looking for a durable, exciting outdoor yard game that gets everyone involved, this set is a fantastic choice. Great Portable Yard Game
This is a neat little ladder ball set that packs into a small bag. I was impressed by the quality and how cleverly the metal frame folds down. The bolas get tangled in the bag, so I might store them wrapped around the ladder instead. Not a big deal, but a separate pouch wouldâve been helpful.The scoreboard is a thoughtful accessory, especially with the game instructions on the back. That kind of design consideration goes a long way. Overall, itâs a well-made, compact, and easy-to-set-up yard game thatâs great to take along for casual fun.
