    Tank of a chair
First…this thing is a beast. I am 6’ and 260lbs and it doesn’t seem to care, no groans, no creaks… Easy assembly, took about 45min but I was multi-tasking… I replaced the casters with roller blades (just my preference). I threw pads on the arms. Comfort? It is just as comfortable as my old chair that cost about twice as much.Pros–Sturdy-Tilts easy and is adjustable-Arms are adjustable; up/down, swivel, and narrow/far (this is limited and requires loosening screws to adjust)Cons (maybe)-I wish the back was a bit higher. Not sure why, it seems comfortable enough. Maybe just residual feeling from my old chair.-It weighs about 50lbs. Probably not really a con but if you are like me and rent, at some point I am going to have to lift this into the back of my truck….-When it tilts, the whole chair tilts not just the back. This may take some getting used to. My old chair was able to tilt from just the back with the seat and arms staying in place. I would much prefer that but I’m sure I will get used to it.Overall, I feel this was a good buy. Longevity is still in question but only time will tell.

    Worth it!!!
I bought this after paying 900 for a Steelcase (chair on left in photo), as a big dude, the seat wasn’t it.This baby accommodates and even feels sturdier.. steel base, I changed the caster wheels for my own blade style.Comfy, sturdy, sit higher for my long legs, I can’t recommend it enough.Returning the steelcase 😀

    Best heavy duty chair!
This is a high quality chair and I am so pleased that I get to sit on it everyday. It has great support and the seat is large enough for me to sit Criss Cross, Applesauce. The adjustable arms are also convenient so I can adjust depending on my mood and posture.Great buy!

    Good chair overall.
It has a padded seat, has metal parts and is not completely made out of plastic. While it was simple to put together, it was still annoying due to the size and shape of some of the pieces.

    Best Ever
Bought this “used” in very good condition from Amazon. Came with everything except the instructions, which I downloaded. Easy to put together, extremely well built, and very comfortable. It’s built like a tank so I know it will last a long time. Highly recommend.

    excellent
i’ll start off by saying i’m a big guy, 6’3, 385lbs, I previously had a Steelcase manufactured office chair that was given to me by a friend when her office was doing some renovations, the chair was manufactured Dec 29,2003 and was given to me in mid 2004. it has been used daily for many hours over the last 21+ years, but over the last 6 months or so it’s slowly started to fall apart, and a couple days ago the recline mechanism broke (so the front of the seat tilts down when not held back by your legs) and it just got too uncomfortable to use with no feasible way to repair it. i figured any chair that lasted that long was worth looking at for a replacement……… well when i called them, the $2500 price for the same equivalent model chair sent me straight to Amazon for an alternative and after several days of researching i picked this one……it came a day early, was super easy to assemble (a T-handle allen wrench is included and is the only tool you’ll need for assembly), it’s super comfortable and well made with heavy thick steel brackets. a couple of the wheels took some good hand force to snap into place so some people may have difficulty getting them in by hand. the recline feature isn’t adjustable as far as the degree of recline goes, but it does offer a stop that prevents reclining and a knob to adjust how much force is required to recline when not using the stop. there is no adjustable degree of recline but it offers a nice ‘rocking chair’ feel without feeling like it’s going to flop over backwards when you rock full back. the arm rest are wide and comfortable and allow plenty of adjustability and support for getting up, sitting down, or adjusting yourself in the seat. overall i’m happy with the chair, especially for the price. hopefully it holds up long term.

    Super weight support
I love this item. I work from home and it’s great. However two of the spots where the wheels click in have bent. I contacted customersupport. I’m waiting on a reply. I may need a replacement part for that but over all. I love the xhair5.

STAY AWAY! Poorly designed, bad arms, gas shock is a quitter, seat leans forward.
I recently moved and gave away a SecretLabs chair (best chair ever) to a family member who helped me pack. Upon arriving at my new home, I thought, “Amazon has chairs for big dudes! Maybe I can save a buck!” I found this, saw the overwhelmingly positive reviews and thought, “I’m SO smart! I’m going to save $$$!” The chair arrived quickly and is HUGE (I’m 6’ 270#) and it made me feel petite. Expectations were high and I was still patting myself on the back. A couple weeks later, the gas shock had begun the slow creep downward. The fact the arms don’t lock in angle or width (which at first seemed a feature) was a CLEAR issue as the resistance had decreased and they now slip and slide wherever and the padding on the arms is weak giving sore elbows. BUT the BIGGEST PROBLEM is that the seat itself sits at an ever so slightly forward angle. Fast food chains did this in the 90’s to try to increase traffic flow in their dining rooms as the chairs become SLIGHTLY uncomfortable and people subconsciously want to get up after a few minutes. THIS IS NOT SOMETHING ONE WANTS IN A CHAIR IN WHICH THEY WILL BE SITTING FOR HOURS AT A TIME. It results in cramped thighs and glutes. I’ve owned it less than a month and I no longer feel smart for saving $$$. I’ve sat in MANY office chairs over the years and even the $30 bargain basement ones are more comfortable. My recommendation, buy a cheap chair, save $, then pick out a NICE chair with a lonnng warranty and you’ll be happy for at least ten years.
