This is meant to be played with outside. It comes with one plastic stingray that is attached to a hose. The stingray is cute and is brightly colored. There is also a pin that goes over the hose and into the ground to keep it steady.You have a choice to play with it like a sprinkler with the stingray. Or you can attach a spout that will shoot the water straight up. It comes with three plastic balls that can be put on top of the water spout. They can be hit with the telescoping bat that comes with it. This is not a full-sized bat, but a child-sized one.The water balls that come with it are more like large pompoms made of pompom material.Children always like playing with a hose in the summer. This toy brings it to another level.

Amped up sprinkler fun!
I like that this sprinkler is more than just the average sprinkler head that kids run through. It has a lot of attachments and the balls to keep it interesting and fun for the kids to try new things on hot days. Works well and is easy to set up. The shape of it is also very cute!

Disappointed
Um… very disappointed. The biggest issue is that it cant be controlled by the kids. Once you set it up, you need a person to turn the water on and off. EVERY SINGLE TIME your child needs to reposition the balls. That’s cute the first few times, but definitely got old quick. There should be a step button/valve that stops the water directly locates on the device. The sprinkler option works fine and as to be expected. But seeing how I ordered this as a fun way for my son to play baseball, i wouldn’t recommend it. Great idea, but the design needs some tweaking.

Having reviewed a similar product which simply did not work (it would not hold up a ball in the water stream), I was surprised to find that this one work.The balls do rise, and with just the right water pressure, they will stay up in the stream, long enough for a child to take a few swings at them with the provided expanding plastic bat.One thing you will definitely need is a standard hose end gasket, because when I screwed my hose end in without one, the water just flowed out around the connection. I added my own gasket and it worked.The other feature that comes with this is simply a whirling sprinkler, but could be fun for a child on a hot day.

Kids and adults had fun playing with this one
The kiddos had fun playing with their new water baseball toy. I was impressed that the water stream actually held the ball afloat for long enough for the toddlers to hit (or try) the ball. The bat extends which is nice for storage. You are not winning the World Series playing with this, but it is fun for sure! I like they you can swap out the top to be just a water sprinkler toy as well if you are not feeling sporting. Once you get the hang of where to place the ball and how high to turn on the water you can keep it suspended easily.
