Budget intro cornhole set
We paved over a sideyard creating a recreation area and we wanted to try playing cornhole after attending a block party where it was all the rage.Real wood cornhole boards can be over $100 for a set and we werenât prepared to spend that much for a game weâd never played before. So we searched for something that looked to be reasonable quality, 3×2 or 4×2 (no mini-sized sets), and not plastic. Found this set and thought it hit the sweet spot for affordability and reasonable quality.In person, this set looks to be that good compromise. Itâs MDF and clearly states itâs not waterproof, and yes, the decal looks like it will eventually peel off. And the corners are already a little dinged up. But the bags seem to be pretty high quality and the legs appear reasonable as well and you can tighten them if needed.What I donât care for as much as the boards will move (jump) a bit at times when hit by the bean bags – probably a function of them not being as heavy as solid wood ones would be. So you have to reset their location between rounds.The foldability (boards back to back and secured with Velcro) is fine, and itâs good that there are handles on both, because I can see the Velcro not holding well over time and without handles on both sides, you could drop a board and it wouldnât hold up well to a drop.What this is, essentially, is an affordable entry level set that will allow you to figure out whether you want to invest in a quality cornhole set or whether the desire to play passes after the novelty wears off. It may not last terribly long under normal use, but if treated gingerly and youâre open to doing some minor repairs over time, I think this will last a couple of years of typical use.For the price, thatâs really not bad.

Iâve been wanting to buy a cornhole game for a while, but they are quite expensive for a heavy duty. This item was heavy duty has carrying handles and a bag for the beanbags. It is well-made and I am very happy with my purchase. We have already gotten plenty of view out of it.

Flimsy and brittle
So, I never really played Cornhole before and my work has a tournament coming up soon. I bought this because it was 50% cheaper than pro boards and figured I’d get some good practice out of it. I was dead wrong. The board is made of thin saw dust board cheaply glued to a frame made of thin saw dust board. The fancy American flag decal? That’s a sticker that began peeling off the 1st hour of use. The main panel popped out after 4 hours of use. The bags that came with it are extremely bare bones. Anytime a bag lands on the board the board bounces and slides around making it impossible to tell if it was a decent shot or just a fluke.If you want a Cornhole set for a side attraction at a party where you and your mates are going to be to drunk to care about authenticity and at the end of your party your buddy pretends to be a martial artist and shatters the boards by barely punching it for a laugh. This is the corn hole set you’re looking for.If you want a proper Cornhole set for official play or practice for a upcoming match. This ain’t it chief. Buy the 120 dollar plus official boards, you will regret this purchase.I don’t generally write reviews for products but this was so bad of an experience I felt it would be a disservice to my fellow man to not put out a warning.

They look nice but you get what you pay for, they are very lightly built and feel cheap. Not a set that will stand up to long-term use.
