Using in Music Production
I have to say, it performed as well as I hoped if not better. I knew going in that this isnt’ the mic for Celine Dion when applying it to music production, however, for that I did need it for it was perfect. Basically need some external sounds and a bit of low fi singing for use on an album. I wasn’t getting the sound right using spot mic as well as not paying for a cardioiid mic. I gave this a shot and totally impressed. At close distance to the head of the mic the sound pollution is cut dramatically, that goes for singing or talking into, it’s very pure and clear. Great that it’s literally plug and play and works seamlessly with my audio gear. The reaction time from mic to your ears (latency) is excellent.

great for recording with iphone
I sometimes record piano videos and rather than edit them, I prefer to do them in one take. With the standard iphone microphone I pick up a lot of background street noise and noise from my hands striking the piano, breathing, etc.I got this mic specifically because it has the lightning adapter so I could sync my piano audio and video without editing. I set up the iphone on a tripod while the mic is directly in front of my digital pianoâs speaker. It has a reverb setting which is nice added value.

Good For Beginners with an Impressive Feature Set
First things first: This is FULLY a beginner’s microphone. If you are looking for top of the line audio quality, you aren’t going to find it with this mic (or any mic at this price, tbh).This microphone is for those looking for relatively good audio quality and extra features at a reasonable price. And based on that, I’d say that this microphone delivers.For most people, this microphone will sound very nice and definitely better than the built in mic on their computer or headset. The fact that it comes on a stand with built in adjusting knobs is a huge plus. For me, it worked right out of the box, although I’ve seen some reviews here where people with older computers had some trouble. If your computer is running Windows 10 or a newer version of MacOS, you likely won’t have any issues.If you set your expectations according to the price you are paying, I think you will be more than happy with this microphone. And if you are looking to getting into streaming and don’t have a lot of cash to spend on gear, this mic will sound pretty good AND look the part.
