Won’t stay open
Our umbrella will not stay open. There should be a lock somewhere to hold it. It is otherwise good. Just unhappy with it not staying open.

This umbrella is pretty sturdy and looks good. It was easy to assemble. We put 3 sandbags under the base cover and it wonât move, which is good. Taking off a star because the umbrella does not turn / swivel. And with the sandbags it gets so heavy that to turn it even slightly becomes a chore afterwards.

Decent Cantilever Umbrella
This is a very well made and high quality umbrella. It’s very easy to put together, and once assembled, easy to put up and take down. The size of the umbrella and convenience of the cantilever allows a wide shade area without blocking furniture. The fabric seems rather sturdy, and the light beige color should hold up well even in the desert sun. The only concern I have is that it’s not easy to swing in any direction once it’s up and in place. The base is rather heavy and not on wheels, so wherever you put it, that’s the only place you’ll get shade – the pole doesn’t have an option to swing in any direction. We’ve had this out on the patio during some heavy winds, fully closed and tied, and the whole thing holds up rather well in 30+ mph winds without whipping the hanging folded umbrella around, which is really nice. I think the value of this item is good for what you’re getting.

Not very well made.
This umbrella loses in the functionality department as the base isn’t as it is shown in the ad. In the ad it appears to be a solid base and this is not. It is two nylon bags that you fill with sand and a nylon covering you stretch over the base. You cannot move this without lugging bags of sand and you cannot use it without the bags of sand as it will tip over without them. The ties for the umbrella were roughly cut with frayed ends. The base is made from cheap snap together plastic and wire. The rest of the umbrella was OK, so if you are going to put this in one place and never move it you will be OK. However, the information about the base should have been given in the ad. All in all this is not a good value for the money.

10 FT Cantilever Umbrella, AWESOME shade!
This Cantilever Umbrella is 10′ in diameter, and comes with a hollow base. You need to fill with sand. Manufacturer recommends a minimum of 180lbs! That’s a LOT of sand, and a LOT of weight! They claim that it withstands severe weather, but for my piece of mind, I’m removing the umbrella portion if the Weather is forecast to be really bad! Overall, a really nice sun shade/umbrella, and I love the Cantilever design which means there is less stuff to get in the way, and you don’t have to have a table with a hole in it. We’ll be using it with some patio furniture, chairs, and small tables, not a dining table per se.

Very nice umbrella but many plastic parts
We were looking for a cantilever umbrella to provide coverage for our pool. We were impressed with the features of the Onbrill 10′ model. The color is just as described. It arrived in a single long box and included easy to follow instructions and it was very simple to assemble. There are only four screws and a set set screw that are easily installed with the included tools. There are two sand bags that need to be filled. Each bag has small slot that we filled with a trowel and closed with the velcro fastener. The instructions say to use 360 lbs of sand but the bags were full with 200 lbs (two 50 pound bags each. We live in the desert and the sun is real rough on materials. We were a bit discouraged when we found that many parts are plastic which we expect not to hold up to the hot sun. Also, the included base cover is a thin fabric. Once everything is in place it’s easy to open and close although the plastic crank rubs against the body. Also note, the position of the umbrella is fixed and cannot be rotated. The quality is good but the longevity of the materials are questionable. This umbrella is much lower cost than others and is a great value even if it only lasts a few seasons. Overall we like it but as mentioned we are sceptical of all the plastic parts.

Patio Umbrella
Beautiful patio umbrella! Very easy to put together and operate. I like that full extension of it and the different heigh adjustments. It comes with bags to fill with sand or rocks so make sure you either have it on hand or buy it. You will definitely need to fill the bags or else risk it blowing over.
